Put them safe, for when you start doing your own coils - then you'll have plenty of spares It can be a very steep learning curve at times but it keeps us off the stinkies

Ive got about 4 evod style tanks just lying around lol! Ill let you know how i get on with the iTaste although reading up on VV and wattage im a little worried i wont know how to use it! Does anyone know how long that battery would last? My regular evod battery lasts me two days? I guess i dont vape as much as other people? ..

I think people have successfully carefully removed the silica wick and replaced it with cotton on evod/protank heads. Although a new coil would be better, give it a go, if you have a cotton ball lying round - you'll not lose anything by trying it! Just remember not to fire it, until the wick is saturated, as unlike silica, the cotton will burn, and then need replacing again.

i got rid of most of my bottoms i think i may have 2 or 3 left Cue ronaldo with some funny innuendo !!!!! erm, back on topic. Yes, you can, I've not used a Bottom Coil Clearomizer (BCC) yet but i should imagine. Gently separate the remaining wick in there, one strand at a time, twist n turn and pull them out "without damaging the coil". Then do a dry burn ( just do a search for dry burning on this forum, someone will link i'm sure in a sec) and once your coil is all nice and clean with all the shite burned off it. wash it again and let dry. (you wash it again or you will get a nasty burned taste from the ash and residue after dry burning) you with me still. ? Then get some unbleached cotton balls, or makeup pads or the like (1st cotton I actually used was from a cotton bud !!!) make a little snake about an inch long, Probably half it lengthways as undoubtedly you will have used at least twice as much as needed lol. it goes a very long way. then, make a point in the end of your snake and thread it through the coil. (you may have to twist n turn but if you feel toooo much resistance pulling through, restart and use less cotton, you want HARDLY any resistance, you should be able to twist one end and the other will turn too, when through the coil. ) put the cap back on and trim the wicks flush like your original wicks were. Fill her up and bobs yer auntie. It may taste a bit funky for the 1st few pulls, leave it 1 couple of min before using it for the first time to let your juice soak into the wick. DONT let it get dry, burned cotton tastes like ass, trust me on that. OK folks, That's my first tutorial done for a clearo i've never used. please fix all mistakes and delete post if I'm talking bollox. Excuse my spelling. Toby

Is there a reason for making a new coil? Im going to raid the cupboards in a min! Eventually all coils will burn out But the main reason, I think, is a homemade microcoil gives a far superior vape. Looks like your going to try replacing the silica with cotton, so good luck & let us know how it goes. Make sure your cotton is not perfumed! Be gentle removing and replacing the wick - the coil could be quite fragile

Hi Pixilocks Welcome to the forum If you're wanting to try cotton wicks / replacing coils etc. it IS pretty easy once you get used to it but can be a bit faffy to start with. Not everyone has the time or inclination to mess about with such things. I started rebuilding the kanger heads after i'd been vaping getting on for a year, and you do get a good vape off them wicked with cotton. If you have any old heads lying about i'd be happy to rebuild a few for you with a 1.8 ohm coil (got a bunch of the prewound ones from Fasttech) along with a cotton wick. Just PM me if you want me to convert a few for you. Someone else will probably do you a fancy microcoil if you ask nicely which would probably be your best bet but i've not got into making them just yet. As for juices I can recommend 'Mom and Pop' stuff. Tried a few from them and all been really nice. Not sure if they do ready made juice though as i just been getting concentrates to mix my own. On one called Krunchberry at the moment and it's like vaping a fruity bowl of cereal.... you can even taste the milk. Might not be to everyones taste but i'm quite liking it at the mo. Good luck with it all

Hey pixi, welcome to the forum. We have a vape meet in York every month (last Sunday of the month) which just happens to be this Sunday, we will be in the Yorkshire terrier 2-6 feel free to pop down and try loads of different setups and juices. The totally wicked black currant I vape is clearly the best though.
You mentioned you like totally wicked, I understand that I really do, have you tried mixing your own? Dramatically reduces the cost and much easier than you imagine.

I thought the same, until it took me 10 minutes to do my first mix, I have not looked back since. You get a computer programme which tells you how much of each thing to put in. This morning I mixed liquid that would have cost me £90 from TW. Really is worth looking into, when I am on the laptop later I will find you some links unless a helpful forum member beats me to it.

Hi Pixilocks there's a forum calculator at the top have a play around with that while your thinking about mixing it really is easy I mix all my own now very cheaply. Probably round £1 for 10mls.

ah you wont go wrong with an itaste vv and welcome to the forum Pixilocks Itaste vv is one of my favourite batteries, as far as the variable voltage/wattage bit goes~: you just pop it onto the 'P' setting, start at 6 and click button up having a drag on tank at every setting. When it starts tasting slightly funky/burnt you lower it back a stop and thats probably the setting for that eliquid The major plus to vv/vw is that if you have been using it at, say 7.0 all day and after tea it doesn't seem to be hitting the spot any more.....you set it a bit higher, like 8.0+ and you are sorted! Just remember to set back down before toking on it in the morning otherwise its leaves you wobbly Best part is its square, so it doesn't roll off the table, and it looks classy too. Its also a 'vape through' battery so you can carry on using it whilst its charging from a mini usb plug. I can charge my phone, my kindle and my itaste vv from same lead so its handy, I also have a cheapy power bank in my handbag and have been known to vape away with the weeny charger dangling from it!¬!
