They have a video of it in use for 10 secs on their site, if you watch closely it resets its self just near the end (which is what the DNA does when the battery can't keep up), but the user didn't seem to notice ???

I`m not sure they are aware of the need for a high current battery, I did watch the vid earlier. I see they have taken the pic down with the innards exposed, to slow for me

This is basically what Rip Trippers said about the clones, the thermal protection kicks in way too early and cuts the vape. I'm tempted by the price, but I think I'll pass on the clones.....

I had seen that, but others may have not good post, IIRC its the Coupora clone he had and that's part of the gamble not knowing who made what and if earily probs were fixed.  Someone on here said their one (don't remember who or which clone) stops regulating at 60% battery power and just passes through the battery power.  

We can't be sure that the Focal one is cutting out as the user in video didn't seem to notice, which is what amazed me. When a real DNA does this the output cuts and it's usually because of battery sag and you can still vape a good few more short or lower wattage puffs.  Time will tell once these may be great, I doubt they are rubbish.

VapingBad, yes probably fine if you stay within certain limits (what resistance/power you are using), but I don't want a dna30 to vape at 15w!!!!
EDIT: oh and if i got one where the atty sits at an angle like the one Rip Trippers got, I think my ocd would go ott!!!!!

leo I built my own (see my sig), I vape it between 20 & 30 W with a Karken dual 2.5 mm ss rope wicks between 0.6 & 0.8 ?. @23 W it resets with VTC4s around 3.45 V and Pana CGRs around 3.56 V it would interesting to see how the clones compare in this respect.

I am pretty certain they were using an almost out of charge and wrong spec battery when they made that vid, dont think it is anything to worry about. I`ll let you know when I get mine delivered

That would show it is doing some or all of the battery monitoring the real DNA does, sounds a lot better than the one that out puts the battery voltage when it gets low.
