DNA30 box mod

i have been busy the last couple of days making a box mod , i just want to say a massive thanks to Kev piper1 for the box and his expertise , without his help i would probably still be making it next month , to be honest i think i have been part of Kevs experiment to see if he can teach a monkey to make a mod.

Quick question... I have the bits on the way to make a dna30 (FT box, evolv dna30 chip, usb charger board) - is it worth lobbing a fuse in line from the battery? If so what spec? Also, whilst I'm 99.999% certain it won't happen, putting the battery in upside down is a good way to fry the board. Wouldn't an inline diode prevent that? Again, what spec would do the trick? Thanks.

i have a fuse on the positive wire from the battery , couldnt tell you which one it is as Kev piper1 kindly sent me it but maybe he can tell you

davetherayon i used these fuses x 2 with the legs cut down short and soldered together: TE Connectivity 6A Radial Leaded PCB Mount Resettable Fuse, 16V

Two of them will give you 12amps which is what is needed for the DNA30, this is based on a single battery not parallel batteries.

The fuses protect things the DNA does not, it's just a slight bit more protection on certain things.

There is all kinda ways but this is how i do mine:

Just ordered a batch (MOQ 5)... and some Lexan. Not quite sure if the FT box has a piece protecting the OLED, doesn't seem to from the pics on their site.
