So then, my friends. Yesterday was not only a Wednesday. 'twas also my fathers 70th birthday... And my familial convert, was to be there. It's a fair old trek down to his neck of the woods (one of the Petherwins in Trigg Major, about four and a half hours away) and we were to stay in a rather nice Cask Marked inn called The Countryman at Langdon Cross (nr Launceston)... Thus a little vape packing the night before was in order... Thus a couple of boxes of batteries, two mods, two KFs, a couple of drippers and a clutch of glass bottles with my more successful mixing attempts.... along with a couple of screw drivers, syringe with a couple of tips, a wad of cotton wool and a sample of the amazing Rico Wool from wot babs gave me and the thought that this might be excessive for a night away and opportunity to expand little brothers experience (I gave him a natty KF clone sourced my local B&M a few months back when he was on route to the games fair at Essen). On my belt the holster I have the 4Nine-Of-Mixed-Reviews paired with a KF partially filled with Raspberry and Peach Melba (recipe from here). So... the previous night Into a VapeEscape e-cig purse goes the mods with KFs, screw drivers, syringe and a couple of tips. Onto the desk goes a few empty 10ml plastics, the RBAs. Onto the desk goes a zip lock containing batteries along with the juice bottles, all nicely wrapped in an ancient but not flaking Tesco carrier bag. Morning comes... 5 am (ugh).. Frantic secondary packing (shirt and underware, wash stuff, Kobo, charger and reading glasses)... Into the pressie bag goes the old carrier bag and off we trot. Mid afternoon comes, and I collar Henz to see what I've brought... Fiddlesticks. So... there I am with about 200ml of juice in glass bottles, a nearly empty KF, one mod and a bunch of batteries. I confess that this morning I was smoking my wife's cigarettes... Like any good tale, there has to be a moral.... Just as we tell newbies to "always have two of everything"... Tomorrow, under the seat of my car, there will be a syringe, a couple of tips, a pipette and some fairly small screwdrivers... Just to make sure that I'll never forget to take them with me, and thus never need to use the ones under the.... (hence no batteries). And that be my post-trip ramble (better than an angst ridden rant internalised)

Why didn't you just whip the top cap of the kayfun and top it up with finger over your air hole, no screwdriver or cigarettes required And I said air hole

Combination of not thinking and reckoning I'd spill loads. Mainly the former.

Good god, didn't you use to have a spare pack of fags in the car? My car has a mod, battery, clearo & juice. And that's not my only emergency stash.

Still is, giles, but not mine. The more I think on this the more I realise I need to put a complete kit in there and try and remember not to leave the batteries for an age and a half..

Interesting.
I have been pretty lax of late. I no longer carry a back-up kit in the car. I'll maybe bring some extra juice, but that's it really.
I usually take my MVP with me when out and about, and have a USB charger in there, so I'll not actually be stuck for battery power. But that's about it.
When I travel for work (to Norway), again, it's a MVP and USB lead. A Kayfun, some cotton, and the juice. I'll "maybe" bring a screwdriver, but realistically, I just refill through the top. I'm unlikely to re-coil when out there. Worst case scenario I'll just have a smoke.

I work from my car most of the time, so with me in the mornings goes my little zip case with the following:
Spare Russian (full) Mini Protank 3 (full) Spinner (charged) Plastic battery case with two batteries (either 18500 or 18650) Mod currently in use with fresh battery and full Russian/Kayfun.
Misc. drip tips, adaptor, beauty ring, tweezers, scissors, allen key, cotton wool balls, and length of wire.
This hasn't failed me yet in nearly 2 years of vaping, and comes out of my car and sits by my computer when I'm at home.
