Well, as an avid MVP user I was continually having problems with the grommet on the centre pin. So I took the plunge, pulled it apart, removed the existing 510/ego connector along with the décor ring threads and replaced it with a 14mm spring loader from varitube. Would have preferred to use the 22mm version but as you will see from the pics that would have been too big for the top of the MVP. Using a Kayfun on it, there is about a 2mm overhang and a protank sits flush. It may not be the best fix in the world but it sure as hell beats crossing your fingers and faffing about for a connection every time you change atty's or fill your tank. There is a bit of drilling and cutting to be done but its not too difficult as long as you take it easy with the drill.

Looks better with the conversion , nice one. Take that as a big compliment from an established mod maker, cheers Kev. Don't know now, why they are not factory fitted with a spring loader. Surely it would be no big deal for innokin to have something similar fitted during manufacture ?

Thanks striker42 That looks so much better than the standard mvp 510 connector. Might finally persuade myself to buy one

Easy enough to do striker42 ? Bearing in mind my soldering skills are non existent so I'd be getting my mate to do that part of it. Going to keep my eyes open for one with knackered threads
