Can't complain about Fasttech, I have 2 x Russians and a KF 3.1, and they are obviously all clones. They all perform well, and one of the Russians is over 6 months old and has never missed a beat apart from user error (of which there have been a few!). I've heard good things about Ehpro and Tobeco TBH, but have never seen one in the flesh to compare.

I have a Tobecco Russian and I hate it. Constantly leaking out the airflow hole (or is it the fill hole?). Anyway, not a fan. I have a few other clones that are okay though. I quite like the V2 on FT just now, I have 2. www.fasttech.com/p/1700500I would have another.

Thanks for the help everyone.
I understand that buying what is essentially a fake product from ebay will always be a bit of a gamble but that particular vendor seems to take a bit of pride in his products and I read through 600+ feedback comments and everyone seemed pleased with what they received.
I think I'll hold off a while until I have a better idea of what I'm looking at.

Silas - are you hoping to get to zeldamum's shop today for the Minimeet? If so, I have my mate James' Kayfun empty and needing a new coil at the moment, I could bring it along and recoil it in front of you to give you an idea of what it's all about ETA: have I done it again and confused you with someone else? You do live in Cornwall, don't you . . . ? . . .

The Ehpro version of the kfl is spot on. Sent from me from some far away land. The Ehpro is very good I have a v2 and it works great. The only thing with Ehpro v2, is the centre posts are higher off the deck than on others and this makes it hard to find a nano kit that fits. a standard chamber section for the chimney is needed so it can be used with the standard nano kit. Ebay can be good, I've got some decent stuff but I tend to look for specific brand names like tobeco etc otherwise you could end up with crap. Anyway kfl+ fan here, I had a clone one but had some spare cash and got the real deal and it's been serving me well everyday since. I got mine from ebay because I couldn't find an ehpro v2 in the uk and got mine from a US vendor empirevapes he's still selling them £18.70 +8.75PP bloody good value and it was here in 7 days. Are there any of them that you can guarantee won't whistle? They can have a tendency to whistle. With mine it seemed to develop a small whistle, but I got a 2mm brill bit and using my hand, just spun it on the airhole opening a bit which took the hard edge off, like doing the smallest possible countersink and the whistle stopped.
Out of all the KLF clones I would look for an Hcigar or an Ehpro those are the 2 that get the best comments. One guy who did a video of various clones against the original said the Ehpro was better than his original.

Chykensa I'll be there at about 12.
That would be great.I'd like to see one actually "in the flesh" rather than pics on the screen.
See you in a few hours.

Buying (or rather, selling) vape stuff on ebay is a bit of a grey area, but afaik paypal buyer protection will still stand in the event of any problem with your order. Where are you at the moment with your vape gear? There might be other tanks that are worth looking at as well as the Kayfun. There are many good tanks around. My experience for what it's worth; i bought the KFL+V2 that everyone raves about, and hate it. I thought maybe I just got unlucky, so I bought a KFL from a member here, and sad to say, I hate that one too. Yes, they leak and flood a bit, that side is sort of manageable, but for me the draw is just too tight. Now, the draw of an atty is possibly the most subjective of attributes, but i just can't get a decent draw. Maybe I got 2 bad ones, but I won't be buying a third to find out. Whether or not a KF is an update will depend a bit where you are coming from vape-wise. cheers

Leak? Flood? That's user error, only time mine has leaked is when I dropped it and knocked the tank squint. Very loose draw too on my kfl+.
No idea why some people seem to have such a negative experience with them.

Must admit mine rarely leak, even bobbling around in my pocket all day, and the only time I flooded it was when I put too little wick in. The draw is really easy, but with my Russians there is airflow control too, so no problems there either. I think you must have been unlucky leo - perhaps save up and get the real McCoy, they are worth persevering with as IMHO the flavour and vape is as good as I've tried so far.

I agree with enjay and chykensa, there's definitely a learning curve with kayfuns but once you suss it they really don't flood and leak. I use mine everyday and carry in my pocket at work with no issues. It did take me quite a while to learn though how to wick it correctly which I believe is the critical skill with kayfun use I use mine with the air screw fully open and find it quite a nice airy draw. Draw can be adversely affected if the positive pin hole isn't lined up correctly with the intake air hole. You can really tighten this pin up tight on a genuine kayfun to prevent movement once aligned although SOME clones use weak centre pins and can snap if tightened in a similar fashion.

No idea why some people seem to have such a negative experience with them. I really think its because not all clones are made to the same standards, some having shallow or badly cut channels, dodgy or short centre posts ect. There are so many makers that unless you research the various manufacturer reviews your just taking a lucky dip as to whether you get one that performs well or not.
