Leak? Flood? That's user error, only time mine has leaked is when I dropped it and knocked the tank squint. Very loose draw too on my kfl+. No idea why some people seem to have such a negative experience with them. I really think its because not all clones are made to the same standards, some having shallow or badly cut channels, dodgy or short centre posts ect. There are so many makers that unless you research the various manufacturer reviews your just taking a lucky dip as to whether you get one that performs well or not. There's no doubt you can get poor clones but badly cut or shallow juice channels are more likely to cause dry hits rather than flooding IMO. any first tine kayfuners would be wise to either buy genuine or take recommendations from the forum users on quality clones. although there will always be exceptions kayfun issues are usually user error, that's not a criticism by the way. As I said the learning can have different gradients depending on user but preserverence usually conquers For for me it's all about the wicking set up.

I think it's luck of the draw. I've got five kayfun lites, three Tobeco, two made by god knows who. My favourite was the cheapest, all pmma, which I've just recently broken. And I have them with the airhole almost closed. I was lucky in wicking and recoiling the first time I did it. Got it spot on and have not looked back. I love em, but that's why there's so many atomizers on the market, doesn't suit all. Must admit, I'm tempted to get en expromizer though.

Leak? Flood? That's user error, only time mine has leaked is when I dropped it and knocked the tank squint. Very loose draw too on my kfl+. No idea why some people seem to have such a negative experience with them. My KFL+V2 doesn't leak (O-ring on the fill screw). The KFL i bought off the forum has the counter-sunk fill screw in the bottom of the build deck. If not used for a few days it will empty itself through that screw. Any idea what I'm doing wrong? I know I could put some teflon tape on the threads, but to be honest I cba doing that on every fill. When it comes to draw I think it's just personal preference (and a little maths): My leaky KFL has a single 1.5mm air hole (Area = 1.77mm) My non-leaky KFL+V2 has a single 2mm air hole (Area = 3.14mm) My Fogger has 2x 2mm air holes (Area = 6.28mm - huge difference to the leaky KFL), and my current daily... My IGO-M has 6x 3mm air holes (Area = 42.42mm, or nearly 24x the airflow of my KFL Maybe it's unfair to call the kayfun a tight draw, but as I get used to more and more airflow, it's increasingly hard to go back to tanks with a single airflow. Got a Veritas and a Plume Veil en-route so it will be interesting to see how they compare.

I never used the o ring with the clone, it seeped slightly but that was all despite it having useless threading, I did however buy the genuine kfl+ V2 which is just perfect every time.
I use the kayfun like a cig though and take the vape into the mouth then to the lung, I also use drippers and with them I run around 0.12 ohms and take that straight to lung with air flow wide open, often enlarged on some. But the kfl+ I just see as my I'm not smoking fix and for that it's flawless.

Took the plunge and bought a v2 clone. Really pleased I did because it vapes like a beast. Any ideas where I can get a mech mod to match it?I've looked everywhere I can think of.

Just found one on Fasttech that looks like it will do the job. Any other suggestions would still be welcome though.

Still, it's the closest match I've seen - I've got a 3.1 kayfun in the same finish, and I've not managed to find a mod that matches perfectly yet. The Hamoriko is the closest, but it comes from Israel and takes a long while to ship.

I have 2 of this. Like them fine. If you're waiting on FT for the mod anyway, might as well save a few quid and get it there too.
Not tried that Stingray X, so can't comment. I will likely get one to add to my SR collection though.
Use China Post. Much quicker delivery option from FT too.

IMHO... Most KF clones can be "made" to be "very usable" and will perform well, once you understand the way that they operate (different from most atties), how to coil & wick, how to diagnose the root of:- a fault, leak, flood, bad O-rings, etc & most important.... where & when to tinker or adjust.

leo - there's no need to replace teflon tape every fill, if you wrap it in the right direction. An alternative is to use the top of a vivi nova or evod head insulator as an o ring. I use plumbers tape on two of mine and haven't had to renew it yet. Wrap it, pointy end up, in a counter clockwise direction.
