Hi fellow vapers

I'm new to the forum so thought I'd introduce myself. I started vaping the end of November 2013 and not touched a roll up since. Good riddance to 28 years of smoking.



Like most people I started with an ego with a CE4 clearomizer bought from a local petrol station. I have since bought many various mods and tanks. I am now currently settled on using Boge SR Cartomizers in my Scuba tank on my Vapor Shark DNA30 & rDNA. I am looking to get a Diver V2 and another Scuba tank when they are available.


I am into my first week of creating my own juices, though I’m not very adventurous with my flavours. I tend to vape one flavour all the time.


How many of you here now find that you spend more money on vape gear than you did on the stinky’s? I know for sure that I prefer to have a nice mod in my hand than a heap of fag ends in the bin.

As I was a very heavy smoker, I'm spending far less on vaping than I did on buying cigs.

I guess as I used to smoke roll up's. The costs savings verses nice shiny devices are not so huge.

Hi Bez, congrats on staying off the stinkies for so long.... I think most of us give in to "shinyitis" and just accept that vaping is a hobby that has expense associated, but it's all good as long as we're not smoking!
My own spending has slowed down now i've found a setup i really like. rda's and concentrates are my main weakness at the mo
Have a look at the mixology section, lot's of helpful advice for mixers there

I think I have the shinyitis under control now. The Vapor Shark DNA is my goto mod now. I will definitely hang out in the mixology section and get some more useful tips on my new mixing hobby.

Not sure I spend more on vaping now I have my shinyitus under control, but I'm displaying some bad symptoms of MIXymatosis lately which can also severely damage the pocket.

I love the look of the Vaporshark... what kind of battery life do you get out of it?

I generally get a full day and a bit out of it (24 hours +) and vape around 2ml of juice a day. I am only using it at between 7-8 watts.

I have the 18650 RDNA version on its way to me, which is a little bigger but will make 22mm tanks look better with no overhang.

They really are great little mods and fit in my shirt pocket a treat. This is why I like it so much. It is also a very solid little device. The DNA30 chip is super easy to use with zero menus and all the useful info shown on the screen.

I like it so much I've ordered it's bigger brother after selling some of my other unused mods.

Hi Bez and bet you are not really over shinyitis something will always catch your eye and then you will neeeeeeeed it in your life trust me I know i'm still spending less though than i was when smoking, even though it's still early days but after VF i have enough juice to last me weeks if not a couple of months, then i might be going down the route of mixing my own ready for Christmas
