I suffer from chronic migraines and have found that when I'm not well I get quite sensitive to pg so have mixed up some 100vg juices but they are really thick how can I thin them down without pg?
Thanks in advance :}

Vodka works fine. I pre-dilute my VG with approx 10% vodka and then just assume it's still 100% VG in my mixing. You can use distilled water just as well but as vodka is my tipple of choice, there is always some in the cupboard

lizzynan - Just a word of caution - I remember seeing a thread about the difference between distilled water and de-ionised water. (Copied from this thread - allaboute-cigarettes.proboards.com/thread/39917/distilled-water-ionized ) 1. "I spoke to the Boots Pharmacist today and asked if de-ionised water from hardware/car shops is safe to drink or inhale as vapour? His answer was a straight NO! De-ionised water from a car or hardware shop, is not fit for human consumption, by drinking or otherwise consumed. I asked him what the alternative would be? He suggested purified water, which is distilled and bottled in a sanitary manner." 2. "uoted from another thread: Deionised water is done by chemical treatment, it uses ion exchange to remove minerals and it is then recombined to make water, this removes heavy metals but not bacteria or viruses from the water. When using a deionised water from a supermarket should be safe from bacteria but they have most likely to have used chlorine to treat it so that kinda defeats the object Some time ago everyone use to use deionised water from Halfords until we starting say hey that isn't a good thing to do apart from the chance that its likely to contain some form of bacteria that may lead to pneumonia or worse it actually has a strong chance it may contain the remnants of the base chemical that was used to start the ion exchange. Please remember that Halfords stuff is only produced for car batteries or cars, there is no thought about us vaping it when it was made. Same goes for the supermarket stuff. In my opinion it is not safe to use, I am sure that some will disagree but the thought of vaping something that was made for car batteries, has harmful bacteria and could contain some base industrial chemical in it doesn't appeal to me sorry. Distilled water is the process of boiling water then condensing the liquid and that has the effect of leaving any heavy materials or solid contaminants behind and leaving pure water. As long as the containers the water goes into are sterilized then it is bacteria free. Out of the two it is the safest option in my opinion." Or - in other words - use vodka

I use water (demineralised) 7-8%, at 10% I find it too watery and it doesn't vape as well.

I use vodka at 5%, but on a similar thread elsewhere people said they used tapwater, and weren't dead (yet ???).

I remember seeing on ebay some water sold that was deionised and then distilled.

I make my own distilled water. I just boil a kettle, place a bowl in a pot and pur the boiling water around the side of the bowl. Put pot lid on upside down and i usually have a smaller pot with cold water on top of the lid. Let boil for 10 mins, remove pot and lid and you have distilled water in the bowl.
Let cool to room temperature, and i will add 18ml of it to 180ml of VG
No need to say the pot & bowl have to be very clean before using
Oh and this has to be done before making a juice. I wouldn't add distilled water to a ready made juice

I like thick eliquid myself lizzynan . . . especially in the warmer weather, less likelihood of any leakage and I haven't found any wicking issues either. UK sourced VG base I find quite runny anyway, so don't bother diluting it - by the time PG flavours are added, they thin it down enough for me. Nicvape's VG base I do dilute and keep a bottle of Boots VG ready diluted with Vodka. I just dilute some off, slosh some Vodka in, until it looks less gloopy and it's good to use for me.
