Is it my laptop or is everyone having this problem? It drives me mad, and the way certain words are picked out in posts in capitals and a silly little green marker above .

Check the extensions/apps installed in your browser. If you find one called 'Everythings A Link' or similar bin it, get rid (just the extension, not the browser)
On mine it installed in Chrome as part of another software package (malware).

It's particularly good at finding malware that hijacks browsers. You can get it hereAlso, if you are not sure about setting your search engine, home page and disabling add ons in your browser, grab Auslogics browser care. IT doesn't do anything you cant in your browser, but it makes it easy to check things are set as they should be.

Phoenix . as we have said before on your other threads about the ads you are getting - you do need to download & run Malwarebytes as your PC is obviously full of malware

Was not aware that this was a trial or that I would have to pay for it, had it before on my desktop and never paid?

Phoenix . - There is a free version available on the web site, and if i remember correctly even if you take the free trial of the full paid for version, when the trial runs out there should be an option to not pay and revert to the free version.

Obviously there is something seriously wrong with my laptop. Downloaded the free version of Malwarebytes, clicked return to home page, took me to pages of naked girls, everytime I click on a web site I want I get loaded down with porno? I did have adblock but it was preventing me from going to web pages, so I was told to get rid of it which I did, but that was months ago. Microsoft Security Essentials , did a scan, nothing untoward came up. Will go back and try Defender.
Need some free anti virus downloads.

Malwarebytes did not download! Downloaded AVG for now, but they said I have driver and security problems and pointed me to a USA phone number? I will see what AVG does/doesn't do.

Phoenix . anti virus will not get rid of malware. Plus you mustn't have more than one anti virus installed on your computer as they can clash with each other.
