I didn't like the thought of a windows 8.1 computer but I went for it and after a couple of weeks I wouldn't go back I think it is great now people only don't like it because they don't like change but it really is good once you get used to it and it dosent take long

 What ways is it different from Windows7 ronaldo ?

I never really liked win 7 myself
win 8 works with apps so everything is where you would expect it to be and it boots up really fast and if it only has win 8 on it update it straight away it is free to 8.1 then you can use it so it looks like a XP machine that is how I use it it is so easy

It's Windows 8.1 - better than Windows 8 & I'm fairly certain there are ways to make it look more like Windows 7

Thanks for that Chrissie, it is certainly in my price range and seems to have the specs I am looking for, still a bit wary of Windows 8-1 read bad reports about it, but if it can be changed to look like Windows 7 then I think I will cope with the changes, I'm always up for learning new technology albeit not very successfully.

Done it, got 2.3% ?cash back from Top Cashback,price reduced too and only 99p delivery to arrive Tues-Thurs.

Phoenix . - I think you might have just tipped the balance for me too! I'm looking for a new laptop to replace my very old and slow one I have from work which will have to go back in 4 months time. This machine you have just bought seems to be just right for me too.
Let me know how you get on with it, I'm really quite interested in getting one now so that I have plenty of time to transfer all the important docs and software before this one finally gives up the ghost!!

Just got to bite the bullet sometimes don't you. I have been umming and arring for a long time now, I have had mine repaired but don't think it will last much longer anyway as the battery needs replacing.

Will get back to you when I get mine and let you know how I am getting on with it, can't be that difficult can it......?

Good spec on that lappy, especially the 6 gig ram and 1TB hd, for the price tis amazing enjoy.

I must have fixed thousands of laptops over the years but is one of those items that I have never owned but should in my job we are all supposed to have one but I never get around to getting one
I have only just got around to putting a new motherboard in my Galaxy S3 phone so there is hope yet I had a phone from the dark ages until I got this one fixed £50 for a brand new motherboard

I made my mind up & went for it as well - as Bluefish says, it really is an amazing price for the spec, especially having he 6 GB ram and 1TB hd

Its great isn't it Chrissie?. Managed to set mine up and running but as you say it is going to get some getting used to, but so far so good, no problem getting my Scrabble game up and running, what's not to like about this machine?
