I have had a search and not found a definitive answer to this subjective question. I have tried a few dippers and have never been impressed by the flavour, sure they can blow clouds and make you dizzy but that doesn't interest me. The last one I tried was a FT Tobh and found it thin on flavour (dual micro coils, 0.6 ohm and rayon @ 30 W), but the best so far. I have $20 of FT rebate points (don't want to waste more cash) and was thinking of a Magma as RipTrippers reckons it has great flavour even at higher ohms plus robby swears by them, but will it give much more flavour or am I asking the impossible? I am a mouth to lung inhaler and don't enjoy lung inhaling, I like a long slowish inhale with lush flavour, quite warm and thick and use a 100 % PG tobacco juice. My ADV is a Kraken with dual ss rope & ribbon kanthal 0.6 ohm @ 22-30 W, Kayfuns for out and about. I found the flavour pretty good (not as good as steel) with rayon and micro coils in the Karaken, but the wicking could not keep up.

Tobh is 5he best ive used so far I have a mephisto (genuine) arriving tomorrow ill let you know Also its down to build. More surface area on the coil = more flavour. This is where twisted wires come in

This is where twisted wires come in Cheers Steve, the build on the Tobh is a similar to the Karken as I can get and the same as the rayon builds I had in that, but the flavour is only about 70-75% of the rayon and 60% of the steel. So I'm thinking a more flavourful dripper may get me lot closer and motivate to try more builds. I love ribbon kanthal, but as my juice is a gunker the wick needs changing to often so it's not practical with cotton & rayon (I hate silica) wicks.

Tobh is nice, but if you can stand a fiddly as shit one, try the 3D (fake, sorry Atmixani but that's tooo expensive). Works a treat, need a Nemmy or other mod that decaps at the end (i.e. no 510 connector).
edit : and you can squonk the 3d! Squonk squonk!

Tried less air VapingBad? Origen and orieco are best I've had for flavour, not good for clouds, like said magma is supposed to be good too for flavour. Plume veil rda is supposed to be good for both, but not tried that either.

The magma produces a superb flavour As does the zenith V2 As does the Origen V2 If you're vaping a desert flavour then the immortalizer with its ceramic base produces a wonderful flavour The beauty of all these atties is that they can be run in single or dual coil

I found the flavour pretty good (not as good as steel) with rayon and micro coils in the Karaken, but the wicking could not keep up. I think this is all subjective, I vape at 15 watts now and it is the best flavour I have ever had, down to the Magma? Who knows. I dont look for clouds either. My coils are premade with what looks like pretty thin rez wire, tightly wound. The wick is organic yarn which wicks fantastically IMO. Compared to a lot of the coils I have seen, the surface area of the coil metal must be comparitively small. This subject just keeps throwing up anomalies. My theory (probably bollox) is that the temperature when it hits your taste buds is very important. I`m not saying the hotter the better, maybe it`s the closer to the sweet spot the better. If you think about a cuppa, too cold and it`s shite, too hot and it`s burning your tongue and affecting your taste buds. That`s the kind of feeling I get when I have wacked it up as an experiment (playin with clouds )

Been playing with my new Veritas clone for a few days (arrived from FT in 10 days!!!!!!!), and the flavour is great. Not the easiest build, but worth the effort. Love the design of it, the juice well and wicking options are immense. And with the single air hole the draw is on the tight side for a dripper. I prefer to lung inhale, but mouth-to-lung no problem on this one. Got mine single vertical at 0.8 and the vape is lovely. RT loved the original: Oh yeah, doesn't leak either, which is a bonus!!

Cheers for the replies, boyofford yes tried on single air hole. Steve (VapeStorm) took your advise ans twisted some 0.27 mm kanthal and made a pare of coils 1.5 ohm coils around 3 mm former = 0.74 ohm with rayon wicks and it is a lot better, but still not enough flavour dense even on a single air hole at 30 W for my liking. It could be improved, but I don't think enough to satisfy me. robby my theory (probably bollox) is that I just like the way the steel wicks get hot and not just the coils so maybe it vaporises juice at a range of temperatures, or it works a bit like a pre-heat you get in gas torches and stoves heating the juice before it gets to the hottest bit.

You know what, I dont think there are any universal constants, it`s down to your own tastebuds and how they react to things. I have always vaped this Hangsen Virginia and it truly has never been nicer to my tastebuds. I was getting a bit bored with it but it is so much better now
