Fogger V4.1 what a nightmare

I've had my trusty Russian for quite sometime now and was becoming a bit concerned that it could suffer a failure as it's getting a bit old, so I decided , after reading and watching several reviews, to purchase a black Fogger V4.1 form Myepack; I really wish I hadn't, I'm planning to purchase a Mister 510 come pay day, I'm sure my trusty Russian will last till then and probably see me out truth be told.

Well it arrived today, along with a Chi You brass clone which I love, at first all was well, I loved the appearance, it seems to be well made but I was a bit surprised at how small the deck seemed as I thought this version had been made with a larger deck, maybe it has but it's still small, read minute, anyway I decided to build a couple of micro coils and use cotton, not convinced by cotton but haven't totally abandoned it yet, eventually got the coils mounted using my overly large hands,  desk magnifier, tweezers, probes and lots of naughty words; disaster, leaked everywhere, stripped it down re-wicked, more cotton leaked, stripped it down, less cotton leaked, stripped it down broke coil arm - screamed.

Round 2 - Micro coils with silica, difficult but can be done using needle threader, fine tweezers, patience and an extensive vocabulary of swear words, very pleased with the result until the multimeter came out - 2.2 ohms, tried it anyway, like vaping without a battery, Fogger nearly took flying lessons,I restrained myself but screamed.

Round 3 - back to what I know and love, 3 strands of 2mm silica x2 4 wraps of ribbon kanthal 1ohm firing fine so far so good, got it together, filled it overall not to bad, disappointed by the flavour, my Russian is much better, good hit, acceptable, although slight leaking/gurgling which I can live with till tomorrow when hopefully a bit of tinkering will rectify this, no screams.

So in general I'm disappointed, I love the appearance, the build quality is not bad, the capacity is great but the deck is much to small for me to work on it comfortably, the posts with top screws are really not good for a dual coil set up, they should have fitted posts with holes and allen screws, I chain vape so have to replace my coils regularly and often, I can't go through this, probably, every 5 - 6 days.

I'll persist with this for a while but I don't see this being part of my life for long, I think I'd lose the will to live if it was, and I will try and restrain myself from launching it into the garden.

You should try the Big Fogger, I can build Fogger 4.1s with no trouble. The Big Fogger is monumental pain to build, far, far worse than the 4.1.

The fogger's deck was made larger with the 4.2. I feel bad for you as I love my 4.3. I can understand how you're strugglind.

Thing is, where did you get the info that it was a version with the larger deck? If it was the vendor then surely you have rights under DSR? (sold as something it isn't)

Ive had a fogger 4.1 a few weeks now , re coiled and re wicked it several times and thought it was a piece of pi$$ to do . Only down side is I think my kayfuns vape better .
Tried .7ohm, 1 ohm and now 1.3 ohm . None have given me anywhere near the taste and amount of vapour a 1.3 ohm single coil does off my kayfun and I can build that in 1/4 of the time so Ive just ordered more kayfuns.

No, totally down to me, for some reason I thought the 4.1 was the bigger deck I now realise it was the 4.2/3 I should have looked for; live and learn; I'll probably give this one away in a week or 2.

Myepack show a good picture of the fogger Ripshod . Clearly shows it has a small chimney .

Looking at that pic they seem to be showing 3 different versions of the fogger. As I said, the chimney and deck were made larger for the 4.2 and over. The centre one is more like the 4.3 that I have.

Frankly that pic is out of place and misrepresents the product.

3 different version show so you can see the difference between the models. There is an arrow pointing to the one they are selling

I've never had a problem with dual coils builds before, I've got a couple of very small RDAs with dual coils and although I don't use them any more I never had a problem building them small as they were, I just find the Fogger to be a total pain.

only fogger I have ever had is the fogger V2 and I have two of them and love them brilliant

Sometimes you wish you could retract a statement. In this case I can't.

But as you point out Cousin Itt, the pic does show the difference between the versions.

However, it is dead easy for someone to be confused by such a photo.

In my eyes it's wrong to show a pic like that, but that's just my opinion.

Well if anyone wants it it's going into the classifieds, I just put my Russian on and the flavour is so much better.

I thought it made it obvious what I was buying when I ordered it . Every other site I looked on I was`t sure what they were really selling so the pic helped me loads

I had my recoiling ' grief ' moments, getting to grips with recoiling the Iatty/Odysseus/Penelope . . . . pre-ready wire days. There's something to be said, for sticking with Protanks/Evods and recoiling their heads only now.

The one with 4.1 engraved on it is normally referred to as the 4.4. It has a smaller deck than the 4.3 which is simply engraved 4.
