As chykensa says leo try the T-Juice concentrates. Some of them are ready to go straight away, for example Vamp Vape & Red Astaire are ready to go as soon as mixed, Jack the Ripple good to go after 2/3 days. I mix them at 20% and use only VG for the rest of the mix so I end up with 20pg/80vg mixes. Oh, and that Red Astaire is absolutely wonderfully marvellously fantastically yummy yummy too. Tastes just like cherry tunes to me and loads of other peeps. I only got my first bottle of it last Thursday and I've already ordered another 40mls of concentrate, just won't get them till 27 September so I am having to pace my usage of the stuff

Does anyone mix Minty the Toff at more than 20%. I am OK with Red Astaire and Vamp Vape at 20% but find Minty a bit lacking at 20

The only flavours I have from your list that I'd use as stand alone is TPA RY4 and I'd use that at around 15% - 20%. Thing is as RY4 juices go its not that great on its own imo. Mix in 5%-10% TPA DK Tobacco and it really livens it up. Add some apple to it and its a real winner.
I have Inawera 3 fives but do not believe its the same as 555 Gold, but as a rule I mix inawera tobaccos at 5% and work up from there. Never had any Inawera Tobacco juices that need more than 10%, but they do benefit from a long steep of 4+ weeks .
Also personally I find tobacco mixes do not benefit from high VG ratios and I mix all my tobacco at 70/30 PG/VG. I do actually find high VG mutes their flavour.
Just like food though taste is all subjective and I know that's not much help but it is a fact.
My honest opinion is you need more concentrates.

My honest opinion is you need more concentrates. You always need more concentrates!! I am forever looking at recipes and then cursing because I have all but one ingredient, usually the one which will make most difference to the recipe. The advice above suggesting that you buy 'to order', look at a recipe and then buy the concentrates that you need, makes a lot of sense. That way you will end up with some concentrates left over which you can experiment with. Aim to mix only 10ml at a time maximum to begin with unless it's a recipe that you are sure you will like. If you do like your tester, then go ahead and mix at 30ml or larger!!

My honest opinion is you need more concentrates. Thanks for your input.... I'm sure you are right... but it's like Perpetua said, I need the confidence of a decent mix (with what I have) to make it seem worthwhile... so far it feels like a waste of money! But point noted. Will check some recipes and get ordering..... Aim to mix only 10ml at a time maximum to begin with unless it's a recipe that you are sure you will like. If you do like your tester, then go ahead and mix at 30ml or larger!! That is what KILLS me.... wait 2-4 weeks to vape 2 days worth of juice (esp when it turns out to be awful)!!! Even if it's nice you have another 2-4 week wait for your proper 'batch' to steep! Which means planning this stuff 2 months in advance.. and I can't plan anything 2 days in advance! I know it makes perfect sense to mix a sampler, but I'm not patient enough. Once I have a few recipes that I like, i'm sure mixing will make more sense. I mixed up 90ml of the custard winner last night.... here's hoping I like it as much as geordie vaper did!!! I get the feeling that there is a kind of circular flow to mixing, so that you always have something steeping, and something to vape on while mixing the next batch.... but I'm just not there yet... I will persevere. Thanks to all for your advice

leo - you are right with the circular flow thing, once you have mixed like fury for a couple of months, you will reach the point where as long as you mix once a week, you will always have something ready to vape (in quantity), something steeping quietly in a corner, and something freshly made. My advice would be to reiterate looking through the Recipe section of this forum. Pick half a dozen recipes that you really like the sound of, buy the concentrates, and mix 3 in week 1 with the other three a week later. Also, get some T-Juice concentrates which can be mixed really quickly, no faffing around with percentages of this and that apart from your base ingredients, and these will be ready a bit sooner. Lastly, we all still buy premades - JJ and others are good juices, although again with JJ, remember they are fresh too, so still need some steeping. Fruits and menthols are good to go almost within 48 hours, desserts take a bit longer ,and tobaccos really appreciate a couple of months in the bottle first.

I bought in a couple of months supply of JJ, so it's steeping, should be good by the time i get back from holiday, and then I can mix safe in the knowledge I have something to vape in the meantime

when you get a series working, it becomes easier.... If anyone's wondering about 1mg, I just add a bit of nic to aid the steeping process, I don't really need it anymore. The 100ml is my banker, good old Afro Dizziac.

Sounds like one I might like? Is it a straight mix, or do you add anything? Also, would you mind sharing your percentages for any of those mixes? Thanks

I try to do a couple of 30ml's a week and that way I stay ahead. The t-juice ones are good as they are simple and quality mixes. I wouldn't be without Afro [but others think it stinks].
The sticky toffee pudding is very sweet and I wouldn't advise as an all-day-vape but is a nice dessert treat.
I generally mix straight and then try mixes AFTER steeping, for instance the Jamaican Rum/Coconut mix is 2 parts Rum to 1 part Coconut.
Percentages are very personal to taste but here are mine for the above mixes [everyone will have their own different ratios.]
TPA Jamaican Rum 20% TPA Coconut 20% T Juice Afro Dizziac 17% CCW Butterscotch 25% CCW Sticky Toffee Pudding 35% T Juice Vamp Vape 15% T Juice Red Astaire 17% CCW Coffee 35% T Juice TY4 17% CCW Cappuccino 25% TPA Caramel Candy & TPA Hazelnut 10% each making 20% total flavour. TPA [Kona] Coffee 8% Flavour Arts Anise 7% Decadent Vapours Liquorice 15%
You can higher or lower yours according to taste but it's somewhere to start.
