I may need to run for the hills but I think it's a good thing as long as it's introduced world wide it will force manufacturers to think more about being more efficient. Vacuum's don't need to be over 1800w and a lot of the better ones are below that figure and work perfectly well.

My house is not exactly filthy, no children, no pets, but been less able than I used to be I need a hoover that has fantastic suction and is lightish weight just so that I get it done quicker with less strain on the body parts.
For example an upright dyson ( I don't mean these new stick ones ) I can not push they are just too heavy and awkward I have tried a few.
Henry although people swear by them I find totally useless, just not enough suction.
Karma is correct, less power means more electric used as you will need to hoover longer and more often. Plus more strain on my back, neck and shoulders

Just shows, my hoover about 100, thats why house so dirty, obviously needs experts, so come on demonstrations how good yours are ok, tea and biscuits and juice supplied.
