I've gone and made me some of that there e-liquid! But I had a thought as I ploughed into a tank of lemon and lime with gin (lovely! Nicer than some 'premium' juices I've tried, although I'll up the concentrates a tad next batch, can't be arsed to add more now) 24 hours after making it. If my nic, PG and VG has already had time in a bottle together to do as it pleases, surely my juices will need slightly less steeping if I'm only adding concentrate? I know fruit flavours are good to go sooner than the coffee/desert juices I mixed, which is why I tried this one first, but surely having most of the ingredients mixed together already will have an advantage time wise over putting everything together at once? I guess a drippper might have the answer. I'll try my next batch of juices shortly after mixing and every day after that to see what happens. Why the pre-mixed base? I'm lazy, I haven't got the space to bulk-buy nic and store lots of gear, I like 24mg 50:50 juices and I won't be making juice (I wouldn't call what I'm doing mixing!) for anyone else. Less than £8 for 100ml is a price I'm willing to pay for the convenience. It'll still make my Red addiction a lot more affordable Sent from my HTC One_M8 using proboards

There's a few here the same BrenD, including me. Dead handy to just add a flavour to a premix than mix the whole lot in one session. I have a 500ml bottle of VG +nic base premix in the cupboard ready to just add flavour to. It's just easier/more convenient, especially if I just want to mix a quick 10ml.

I often mix using these pre mixed bases, I find it more convenient.
I still steep for the same amount of time as I would normally, even with one shot mixes.

I'm afraid not BrenD . . . they'll still need the self same time as if you'd mixed the ingredients separately. It's the flavouring that requires infusing time, not the other stuff.

Hmm, good idea BrenD but I'm with Perpetua here, it's the molecular mixing of concentrates and bases which needs to happen, and which takes the time. Just mix well in advance, and you'll always be vaping something which is steeped and ready

I bought a 500ml of 72mg nic and immediately mixed it 18mg 60/40 vg pg. when concentrate added this will go to approx 15mg 50/50. So much easier just adding the correct amount of concentrate than faffing wit nic pg and vg and concentrate particularly if just mixing 5 or 10ml as a tester

Depends how critical it is to make an exact strength I guess if that happens.

Perpetua you are of course correct (as always) the exact pg/vg and nic strengh doesn't really matter within a couple of percent nor does the nic within 1mg or 2. Most of what I regularly mix is at 15 to 20 percent concentrate so comes together within a resonable tolerance.

OK! being lazy as well and thinking about mixing my own Juice the pre mix sounds good to me, this is the one I've been looking at, Unflavoured e-liquid with a 40%/60% PG/VG mixture. 12mg Nic, but how do I get the flavour ratio right, if say I'm making 10 ml and want 10% flavour do I just need 9ml of base and 1ml Flavour, I put the mix in the Ejuice calc and it says it's just 1 ml flavour, but it just sounds too simple to me, I know it will work out cheaper to use separate PG, VG and Nic but I want to give the ready made a go until I'm a bit more confident,,

If I use ready mixed base and want 10ml at 10% flavour I just measure out 10ml and add 1ml flavouring I like simples and so long as I'm able to vape the end result I'm happy Just remember that you're cutting the nicotine content with the flavouring so you'll end up with approx 10.8mg nic

Thank Karma! all my juice is 18mg but I'm trying to cut it down a bit, so basically if I use 18mg I should end up with something around 15/16mg, I didn't realise it was actually that easy, and looking at the Ejuice calculator and finally working it out this mixing game dos'nt look that hard,, Mow,,,

Wishful thinking on my part, no doubt! Most of the juice I'll make will be RA, so steeping isn't really an issue, but I'm struggling not to vape the salted caramel, creme brulee and salted caramel creme brulee as just about the only juice I have left is Red. As much as I love it, I need to switch flavours after vaping it all day. I will nail the perfect salted caramel creme brulee eliquid if it kills me, or at least one that is perfect to my taste buds Sent from my HTC One_M8 using proboards
