Thanks I have already spoken to him. Thought there might be someone who can fix it and use for themselves as it didn't really get used anyway.

How did you manage that, it's a floating pin !!! shame it isn't a control head type thing as my button misfires a little on mine but I do love it so.

My fire button has a mind of it's own too but it's a common problem, they use cheap crappy micro switches in the svd and cool fires. Shame as it's a funky looking thing

Followed advice from where I bought it and broke it. That is all What a shame, what a daft thing to tell you to do. the pin is spring loaded and i doubt could be encouraged to come out any further. I wasn't implying "you" had done anything silly btw. Paws

Its not difficult to gently raise the centre pin and its a common problem on many batteries and devices like the SVD caused usually by over tightening atomisers and clearos to the device. Sorry you broke it jmw but it was in perfect working order and you had even said you had been using it for at least 2 weeks. I did offer to you to return it to me and I'd have a look at it for you, but you had already broke it by then. Apologies for this post but I will not stand by and be made to look like I'm the bad guy here. Edit to add the advice given Notice the word gently used twice!

Sorry @marks I deliberately did not name anyone as this was my fault I broke it. There was no intention to cause arguments.
I just wanted to see if anyone would be interested in buying this cheap to fix.
Sorry

Its not this thread I take exception too.
Its saying the advice given was "daft" when in fact its common advice that works for more people than it fails.

MarkS omg I'm sorry, I really did not mean to offend you or anyone for that matter. You must have seen my posts and know that's not the sort of person I am. I had no idea that the pin was already " stuck down". When the OP had said it would not make contact with the Atty I didn't know it was because the pin was actually stuck / recessed down and obviously I see that attempting to lift it would help. Had the pin not been stuck, I couldn't see being able to ( lift it further up) due to the nature of it being a spring loaded pin in the first place. I am aware of the " lifting the pin" trick on other mods and ego batteries for example when quite often screwing an Atty down too hard will make them stick down. However the svd being a floating pin, I actually thought it might be the pin on the Atty not being long enough. I truly am sorry to have offended you. Maybe I'll just keep my advise to myself from now on. Toby

Maybe I'll just keep my advise to myself from now on. Toby You had no idea it was me or of the correspondence that proceeded the advice to try and prise the pin up so I apologise for getting irked more than I should have at your response. I'm a tad irritable at the moment and probably took your post as a little more to heart than I should have. The SVD is not a floating pin? I've always thought a floating pin can be adjusted from the inside to make contact with an atomiser or battery? I also do not see it as being spring loaded either? It's pretty much the same as the connection on standard ego battery as far as I am aware and from what I can tell from the SVD I am holding in my hand right now. I've never taken one apart so I may be wrong on that and confused on the definition of a 'floating pin'. It is common advice to try and gently tease the centre pin in devices up a touch if they are no longer making contact with any clearos or atomisers, and in most cases it works a treat.
