Cartomiser Tanks are becoming more popular so i thought i would start a one stop shop for info and discussion essentially a cartomiser tank is a tank that encloses a cartomisers and keeps them continually fed with juice via a small hole in the side of the carto, eliminating the need of frequent topping up tanks generally come in two sizes. one that accommodates regular size cartomisers which hold around 3ml of juice and one that accommodates the larger dual coil cartomisers which will hold around 6ml of juice. refilling with juice is only required once the level of juice in the tank is low

the tanks themselves last forever or at least until the O rings degrade but then you can easily replace them the cartomisers life is very much dependent on what juice you put throught it but is actually extended by being in the tank as it is never allowed to burn dry... typically i get a couple of weeks out of a carto

Something i remembered that is quite important. Some flavors and juices are known to react with polycarbonate tube and cause it to crack / degrade
the following list is taken from the big daddy tank site and so refer primarily to USA juices
Sour flavors Malic acid Citrus acid Cinnamon like "atomic cinnamon" types, not warm cinnamon like cinnamon coffee cake, this is okay Wintergreen juice or flavoring TPA ripe banana flavoring TPA honeysuckle flavoring TPA maraschino cherry flavoring TPA cherry blossom flavoring TPA root beer flavoring Mrs. T's strawberry shortcake, snickerdoodle KBV Hummingbird nectar mimosa(because of the orange) cola(because of cinnamon)? Vapor Renu Teaberry, cherry vanilla (possibly most of their flavors) Vapor Renu Mt. Dew baha blast and Strawberry limeade Oil based/e liquid that contains essential oils, when mixed with pg/vg, creates esters which will crack plastics E liquids that contain triacetin, used in vg liquids to carry flavor more effectively Vapalicious Gooey Butter Cake Nutmeg Clove oil Mt. Dew flavoring TPA Cinnamon Danish flavoring Sassafras Rawrvapor Hawaii Sunrise TPA Vanilla Custard flavoring Tasty Vapor Cherry Cola Vixen Vapor Rootbeer TPA Pineapple flavoring TPA Vanilla Bean Ice Cream flavoring Vaporgod Licorice VAL Goddess VermillionRiver e juice
this is not a definitive list by any means

I have so far only tried the challenger (Smok-Tech) tank from Safercigs. It works very well and comes with a pre-punched carto. For some reason though I find it tastes a bit watery which I guess must be to do with the cartomiser it comes with. This is a bit of a problem as the cartomiser is a special design with a flange on it so I don't think anything else will work in it - Does anyone know of any alternative?
I have an arry tank I am going to try, but I am on a waiting list to get his punching tool before I start that.
There are also some slightly more exotic tanks available - I am about to try a clearomiser tank which essentially uses the inside guts of a cartomiser in a much bigger container.

You can use standard dual coils on that tank, you just need to punch your own hole in the side of them

hi Dave the Smok-Tech will work with a regular non flanged dcc fine too.... but you will have to make your own hole
is the juice getting into the carto well enough Dave as i have heard the hole can be too small for some juices... pull the drip tip off and have a look down the dcc to see if the filler is wet
