Hi, my name is Mark, an admin on POTV and I've joined up here because of this thread and a wish to help if I can My Microstick arrived on Saturday and I experienced exactly the issue the OP has. Four month wait and I empathise with the disappointment. After searching the mini-ecig site, the known issues and the FAQ etc I googled my issue and found this thread which I've followed. Anyhow mine is now working after trying all the things so far mentioned above without any joy I copy below my last email to Mini-ecig which hopefully is self explanatory... "Ok here's the deal. I've got it working Disassembled it again. The problem was that the central brass pin in the 510 connector wasn't quite hitting the brass bar on the base section (either in 18350 mode or via the brass extender pin) as it was flush against the plastic and not protruding at all. I pulled the brass pin from the bottom end out by maybe 1-2mm and reassembled after reinserting the attie a little tighter (now more room). However the base plate was no longer flush and looked askew. Disassembled again and pushed the 510 brass pin back in a smidge so that when assembled it still protruded enough to hit the brass bar. After a couple of attempts I have it flush and working with both the Spheroid and my nature vape mini tanks. A bit of faff but finally it works fine. I thought I had adjusted the brass pin in the 510 earlier but I did it while the attie was installed. Maybe by removing and reinstalling a little tighter did the trick." Hope it helps

Very thoughtful of you potvmark to post this. I don't think Pepperty issue is the same though, if the positive 510 pin wasn't making like yours then it wouldn't fire with the wire either. Worth a try though it's clearly a 510 issue and I'd be more than happy to be proved wrong if it meant getting the damn thing working.

Thanks for signing in and letting us know how it went for you potvmark, I'll give that a try too, I have already had the brass pin tested at every position along its length and dismissed it as I couldn't get the base plate in flush The one thing that is puzzling me and leads me to assume my microstick issue is different is that if I hold a wire against microstick body and on edge of firing button I can vape to my hearts content (if I'd be willing to juggle octopus hands to achieve this) This makes me assume theres a circle of current running at least into coil as its firing with an external connection.. ? I thought the <<going into>> connection was the brass pin on the brass base plate and the <<coming out>> was the stainless steel 510 connector itself, going through the inside body of microstick to brass button grooves....... Now I'm really confused, I might need the 'circle of current' explained to me in idiot language

oh, and I took microstick apart and added generous amount of autosol to 510 connector and screwed it in and out, in and out and in and out of grooves in microstick body, then I pushed finer in hole with cloth around it and swiveled endlessly, on new pieces of cloth until my finger was raw Then I repeated with threads on the 510 part, until there wasn't a trace of anything on my cloth I then liberally smeared into 510 grooves, rubbing into every crevasse and screwed it in and out of the threads in microstick body, over and over aaaaand over again and it still doesnt work (unless I attach the cable) So, tomorrow its wire wool shopping?

Now I'm really confused, I might need the 'circle of current' explained to me in idiot language You got it already Pepperty Starting from from your battery pos pin the current flows through the brass base plate to the inner brass 510 pin then through your atty coil. When it leaves your atty coil which is connected to the whole body of your atty it passes through that outer threaded 510 ring into the mod body and then via the mod switch back to the negative pole of your battery. If any point in this circuit is broken it won't fire as current can't flow. the fact you've attached the wire across the 510 outer threads proves it an issue with the threads rather than the positive pin as it fires with the wire.

Did you clear out the auto sol after cleaning the second time, if not clean it out both sides and add a dab of noalax. Failing that were back to the wire wool I'm afraid unless miniecig come to the rescue.

Icleaned autosol off vigorously and repeatedly scrubbed until cloth clean (no black marks) The noalex I rubbed into only the 510 and then left it on (as it conducts)

Now I'm really confused, I might need the 'circle of current' explained to me in idiot language I could get it to fire using the wire from pressed button to body trick (burnt me thumb in the process with a thin wire...with a paper clip I could vape away) so go figure! I can tell you that I did disassemble the 510 connector, cleaned and reassembled. No difference. Same cleaning the threads. But as soon as I realised the two brasses (bottom of 510 and the 'bar') weren't quite touching...I guessed the problem I should add that it's firing well too. Can't detect much voltage drop

aye, i'll try that tomorrow 'multimeter boy' has just ran for his life, he'd arrived home so I was bringing up to speed and whilst explaining and doing the octopus with mod and wire I dropped/sort of threw microstick? - I think I electrocuted myself? it sailed in an arc to crash to floor Stunned silence then >>> I was wailing and keening and gibbering and sobbing, on my knees cradling it, whilst rubbing its body hysterically checking for any damage - whilst hyperventilating pathetically >>> he just scurried off quick! It's unmarked, no vicious chips or scrapes and now I AM reaching for a medicinal drink to calm my shattered nerves. I'll go play with the brass knob (oh er misses )
