Hi, After smoking for 20+ year, I started my first e-cig 18 months ago and I felt great. My sense of smell and taste are now back. I have used Gamucci (menthol 16%) all along but found it more and more dissatisfying. I have been thinking of going 'real' vapering kits but was totally overwhelmed and confused by the amount of info on the net. I found this forum recently and it's good to see a beginner section. Hope I can find some advice. Since I do like the small size of cig-like e-cig (I need to carry 3 batteries to work though lol), I am thrilled to see the good thread from opensecret. His list is v similar to what I am thinking of (a great thank to him). One difference is a vv battery as it is always recommended in other threads. So should I get a vv? I am not sure which to get but here is my beginner wish list:
1. Kanger mini protank 3 x 2 2. Kanger Evod glass start kit (for work) 3. Kanger Black EVOD VV Variable Voltage Power Twist 1000 mAh Battery Ego Thread (for home) 4. Some coils 5. Some juice - I plan to order some fr joosejuice. am I making a sensible choice? Are the mini protank 3 and vv battery compatible? How long do I need to wait for methanol juice to steep after they arrive? any help will be appreciated. Thank you. zaccochub

Congrats on giving up the stinkies. Good choice on the upgrade kit You'll find it a definate improvement. Menthol juice will be good to go when it arrives. Have a look here for mini juice samples. www.smokerainbow.com/all-samples/Have you tried other flavours? I'm sure other minty fans can guide you better on what to get.

Hi and welcome zaccochub Great choice in your shopping list.I can add one more thing to it for your kanger minis - airflow control valve,it really make difference to vaping. Keep us posted how you get on with your new kit. Also good choice of juices here while you wait other ones to steep.

zaccochub I wouldn't be without Joose Juice Menthol and Soft Mint flavours they are my preferred all day every day vapes neither of them require steeping and can be vaped straight away. The menthol flavour is fairly strong so it might be worth you ordering 3 x 10 ml sample bottles @ £1.49 each initially at each of the different strengths (standard, 10% extra and 20% extra) to see which one you prefer rather than end up with 60mls of something either too strong or not strong enough for your tastes. When you know which one you prefer you can order the 30 ml bottles which are buy one get one free and use the code AAEC12 to get 12% off.

As you said: Since I do like the small size of cig-like e-cig I thought I'd point out that the kit you list is good (I use it myself for out & about), but a lot bigger than a cigarette - it's about 15cm long by 1.5 cm diameter. The stuff recommended by decoy is bigger still

Thanks a lot for the advice. Yes, I am aware the kits will be bigger than cig. If they don't look really big, I guess I will have to live with that. I only smoked menthol cig before switching to e-cig. May be it's time to try something different although I still find the idea of 'smoking' coffee/fruity flavour weird. Lol. The next thing is to find and get them!
