aw 18650 question

Hi all

Bought an aw 18650 from a shop in london (vrevolution. .but was desperate) but it states its 22oo mah (7.4wh). And there seems to be no listing for this anywhere online...was trying to find amp limit!
only find info for up to 2000mah in aw
Could this be a fake?

AW don't make a 2200mAh battery, so you've been sold a FAKE. There's only 8 vendors can possibly sell genuine AWs in the uk, and vrevolution ain't one of them.

Take it back and get your money back. No need to name and shame - you've already done that!!

Their website shows/advertises 18650 2000 no mention of 2200. Not sure how yours has 2200:

Anyone found to be selling outside of this list they're either fakes, or they're reselling batteries bought privately from AW, which is to be frowned on. Batteries bought privately are not to be resold - even at discounted prices.

The ROHS is wrong. Genuines have a smaller 'o'. Take it back - FAKE!!

Don't even try charging/using it.

yeah true, but they are all li-ion the one i have clearly states IMR.... and they are not listed

This is what happens when unscrupulous vendors get their stock from fleabay/am**on or even through friends.

It stinks, but it happens. At least you've come to us for the honest truth

Even the 'AW' sticker is wrong. Yep they were using the black ones up til December 2013, but the size of the characters is wrong. The first link I put above has all this info.

arghhh F***kin aholes they are ...even if they didnt know themselves!! now I have to go back in and convince them they are fake and try and get refund...
even if get money then have to wait few days whilst order another one online (which is why i shop bought in first place) ...so cant use my new shiny yet!!

If they argue just tell them you'll get trading standards involved for selling counterfeit and goods that dont match the website
