Is there no adjustment on the switch mrsmac
Can't you screw the whole switch out a few turns, tighten at the top then screw the switch back in.
I wouldn't run it with a flipped battery personally.

A stingray wouldn't have been much better. It has a floating 510, so all adjustment is at the bottom. You would end up with a gap there. One piece mods don't generally like button top batteries.

Dont run it with the battery flipped!!! From reading your posts you have given the impression that you're not too experienced with mechs so suggesting you flip your battery isn't the smartest suggestion IMO

As far as the battery is concerned there is no difference to which way up it goes in a mech mod. And as batteries tend to vent from the top if they do vent, and vent holes tend to be at the bottom of mods, there is a good argument for running your batteries flipped. But... looking at the switch in the JM22 I suspect it could auto-fire with a button-top battery, so no, don't put it in upside down. If you get yourself a flat top (like a Sony VTC), then yes, you can put it upside down perfectly safely.

If you flip your battery then the whole outer casing will be positively charged rather than just the small 510 connector. in my mind it's the same principle as swapping your leads on your car battery and having the shell at 12 volts rather than zero volts. im not saying I'm right IT just doesn't make sense to flip and until I was convinced it wasn't a bad idea I wouldn't do it. each to there own of course but if your not sure if it's safe don't flip would be my advice.

No offence taken Marcus I am new to mechs and have only been using the nemesis for a couple of months. I got the jm22 as it is sleeker and cuts down on the amount of sections, the Nemmy is fine but I wanted something a little more lol I tried the flipped battery to see about the tubes but it was a no go so took it out straight away. The whole mod is back in its box and I've gone back to the nemmy albeit a little downhearted as I guess in order for it to work I would need to replace all my batteries

I think the main reason not to flip is some atty's 510 +ve pin doesn't stick out enough, and need a button up there not to short. But if you are careful with adjusting your centre posts, there is no difference. And the venting issue is well worth running them flipped. Most mods are quite tight to the battery, and if the batt swells as it vents there is no way for gas to get to the vent holes that tend to be at the bottom (as batts tend to vent from the +ve end) My ocd like the +ve to be up in the mod, but if I'm at very low ohms, I flip to be on the safe side.

Geordie ive given my reasons above, not saying I'm right but surely there's a reason positive up is the norm.
Oh hold on positive down on the likes of Kato / gizmo / microstick right. But on these the positive pin down connects to the 510 "positive pin" and the negative side of the battery connects to the switch and therefore the mech body.
Coincidence ? I'm not so sure.

The risk is a hard short , but as long as the insulation on the battery is in good nick (and the 510 is properly adjusted) it wouldn't happen. For me the venting issue is enough to run my batts flipped at low ohms
