Mechanicals are in the Apocalypse Box - Mako Maksi, GGTS, Shockwave, GGTB, along with The Kicks - loved them all at the time. But now it's VV/VW for me. Just quickly hopping off topic, While I have an emergency legislation stash, I did notice someone quoted an apocalypse date - 2016. Is this in reference to something - Ive missed something haven't I? 20th May 2016 is the first compliance date for the EU Tobacco directive. There is a second one a year later. i.e. by that date governments are supposed to have done something to implement its 'requirements'. www.clivebates.com/?p=1747

The only ecig consumable that will be my biggest concern is specific flavourings such as RA that I have come to rely on. Thanks Richard46

I think mechs are becoming more and more yesterday's news for most. I'll always keep the few I have just in case and there'll always be a few die hards. But with the advances of VW and soon to be temp control plus whatever's next I think most who haven't already will move away from mechs. I have to agree with that, and that putting a kick in a on top of a battery regulates it I use both but much prefer regulated mods for their versatility and consistency. I don't like the way vape quality falls off with a mech. Regarding battery life, contrary to what's mentioned earlier, I find I'm swapping out the batteries at 3.6-3.7v in a mech which is way sooner than my rdna30 which gives a consistent and satisfying vape right down to 3.3v

I use mechs mainly - I prefer tubes and I love my Gus mods. I have a DNA30 box mod that I use at home when I don't want to start a fresh battery, but it's very much a back-up device to my mechs.
For me it's about form and simplicity - they work perfectly with my favourite atties and give me the vape that I want and need to stay off the stinkies. I personally am trying to move away from vaping as a hobby, and more as a means to an end. It's a slow process, having collected a fair bit of gear over the past year.
I'm surprised that people feel VW devices have moved so far so quickly, but I refuse to catch shinyitis again to check!

I can't see that being an issue Tom . . . the majority of flavourings started life as being used in Home Baking, so unless Mary Berry is also included in any possible legislation - then I believe we'll be fine.

vv all the way for me, vamo and X6 being the tools of choice. Tried a mech, wasn't impressed, too much faff and varying vape quality. Vaping is not really a "hobby" for me, don't want/need the latest & greatest gizmo/mod/rba/whatever, just want decent, faff-free vape

Oh Red Astaire cake, never thought of that before any volunteers willing to knock A batch up, we could have a GB

Haha Greg, I know the generic stuff will always be available. It's the specific ones like RA or moms and pops or pink spot... I wonder whether its worth starting to look at coming up with my own variations on these from CAP & TPA/FA concentrates... siggh

I am mainly vw and my main device now is my Dani with the zmax collection as back ups or secondary flavour choice. I have a few mechs but havent yet found "the one" that i want to use on a regular basis. I wish there were more small options for vv/vw users who like a good ole tube lol
