I did a video last year for mine. Youngest was enthralled and believed but middle was dubious and not sure. This year, I think the magic will not be the same.

As long as it has the XM4 5HQ (Xmas HQ, see what they did there?) postcode it'll get to where it needs to be.
So for anyone with really young kids who can just about scribble Santa/Father... on an envelope, just add the postcode.

Sorry to be a 'bah humbug' but, I've written my own letter to the grandkids as follows... Dear Grandkids,
As you already have everything, and more electronic gizmos than I've ever heard of... I have wriitten to Santa on your behalf and told him that he can take this year off and go on his holidays.
I know you'll understand.
Love, Grandad xxx
Not actually looking forward to Xmas Day dinner at theirs now. .. I think there might be an atmosphere!

You know what Raffles I wish it could go back to how it used to be. Not too far back, but my xmas as a child was a stocking of fruit, and little things, I would get felt tips and colouring books, a cheapish doll, then I would have a big present, and god did I appreciate that big present. Something like tiny tears now if you got her that was ace, when I was older it was a couple of vinyl albums, and older still a real record player to play them on. I used to look after children and know when they were the happiest, when they gave the biggest smiles? When they were on a beach with just a bucket and spade, or in a free park on the swings. That is still true today despite the gadgets and gizmos, a childs smile and laughter is worth more than anything in the world, locked up in a bedroom on a game system doesn't create this.

sammy13... Have been in work today, and we've just started a half price toy sale. The aisles were heaving, the staff couldn't get down them to replenish the stock, and one customer (with three trolleys) spent just shy of £1,000. What on earth is she going to do next year ???
