Glad its not just me Scylla I was getting worried, It comes and goes I've not had it happen for a few months but now it's back again, hopefully it is the extra alcohol causing it and it'll go away again soon

I haven't had heartburn with it yet, but I'm probably not vaping as much as you (still smoking quite a bit unfortunately), but it does give me a bit of a headache.
Not the same I know, but I've dropped lighters down the loo more than once lol, and they've been fine once dried out.

I to have the mother of all mouth ulcers at the back of my mouth and it is really painful when I put my teeth together or chew, I put it down to a wisdom tooth I've got comeimg through but it looks like It could be vaping, I have been vaping a hell of a lot more over Xmas due to drinking alot more alcohol, also recently when I've been trying to get to sleep as I'm just nodding off this happens and all I can describe it as Is like my heart skips a beat and I forget to breath then gasp and wake up and everthings back to normal, this was happening when I started vaping but it went away after a few week so I didn't bother going to the docs, it could be that you are just jolted awake and it feels like your heart skips a beat ...maybe due to too many stimulants nicotine, alcohol mince pies etc and your brain isnt able to relax enough if you are getting the odd skipped beat along with a faster heart beat then this could be palpitations and maybe due to vaping too much nic. either way mention it to your doc on your next visit

Sleep apnoea and/or sleep paralysis. I get it sometimes just the way you describe, Don, but years ago when I was on valium long-term it was dreadful, used to even hallucinate with the sleep paralysis (I didn't find out what it was until decades later). I wouldn't worry if it doesn't happen too often. The excess Xmas alcohol may be to blame sleep paralysis is something i truly hate... luckily it only occurs a few times a year thank god. like you Scylla i blame the head meds

I used to get palpitations when I first started vaping, but they went away quite quickly . . . not dissimilar to the palps you sometimes can get going through the menopause. Perhaps that's your problem Curtis, you're on the change. But if anyone does have symptoms that concern them and don't go away, it's always worth a visit to the Doctor, just to put your mind at rest if nothing else.

That's the flush of wedlock Curtis. But seriously, your meds could be interacting with the nicotine.

I already suffered from heartburn / indegestion and when I started vaping it became chronic, I went to the docs and showed him my pv and explained that 1 of the side effects was excess acid . In fairness to him he gave me a script but was rather bemused about my e-cig , he said he'd never heard of them or seen 1 before. I've been on the tabs for approx 8 months now , and it's prob going to be a long term thing for me , but it's a small price to pay for not getting heartburn , I haven't had ulcers but do get spots down the sides of my nose , damn I never had spots as a teenager

I had the heartburn/ indigestion thing about the second week after starting vaping. Boots indigestion tablets helped and it only lasted for a few days. I use PG or mainly PG juice and I've had no problem since then.

Curtis,i started in my early twenties with the forgetting to breath and choking/gasping.I was told it was panic attacks.I always knew when i was going to have an episode as i would start swallowing a lot,not breathing in rythm, then waking up gasping for air.It steadily got worse,so much so that i thought i would die,i felt there was a blockage in my throat as i could not get any air in my lungs,it was terrifying.I was treated for night time asthma for about 10 years but it never helped.I finally went private and after a few more years of thinking my heart was going to rip out of my chest was given medication to try.I now take a Proton inhibitor(just a pill),a nasal spray and a Gaviscon type liquid. The Doctor thinks i have acid reflux which gets stuck in my windpipe and blocks my airwaves(although i have never had indigestion). Not sure if this is correct but i dont have as many attacks and they are not as strong as they were.I sleep with my bed tilted gradually which helps a little.I also find dairy products produce a lot of mucus so they are a no no after 5 at night so no milky drinks etc.I am not saying that is what you have but it may help you if your attacks get worse. Netty

I really appreciate your input netty thanks, Aswell as arthritis I've also got epilepsy that I was lucky enough to get from an head injury when I was 18 and I'm on a few different meds for that to, it's strange when the gasping thing happens I get a sort of dejavu felling which makes me think it could be epilepsy related,

How not lucky you were, Don If we stop and think, some of us ain't half mixing up a cocktail of drugs and we don't know how they interact. And then there's what our bodies are doing naturally without any help Still, we're not smoking
