Thanks for that Des, However I am still unsure about the difference between a cartomiser and an atomiser. How do I fill either of these things with e-juice, and when the e-juice is 18mgs, --18mgs of what? Sorry to be so dense Wendy 18mg is the nicotine strength, 18mg is medium, you'll probably get the same nicotine as a silk cut, the way the body absorbs nicotine from vapor is different to tobacco smoke, so you may find you need a medium strength. If it's too high (head swims) you can always get some lower strength liquid to dilute it, but it's harder to go the other way. Typical strengths: 0 mg - no nicotine! 11 mg - Low nicotine 18mg = medium nicotine 24 mg high nicotine - you may be able to get higher but it's not recommended for newbies. REMEMBER nicotine liquid can be poisonous DO NOT LET IT get into the hands of youngsters or those not using it properly. A good way of weaning yourself off of nicotine is to gradually dilute it with a low or zero nic juice till you're down to zero.

Welcome from me too Jigsy , myself and many others here have asked the same questions you are asking now within the last 12 months. So don't be worried about asking what you may think is a stupid question , we've all been there learnt a lot and are here to pass on that knowledge.

Welcome this is my first post. I started a week ago on a mini510 with the small cartridges that fit onto the atomizer, was OK with the 24 mg tobacco flavour i was a heavy smoker 40/50 roll ups per day bout a mini 510 2 carts 1 atomizer-and a 5ml tester bottle along with 20 ml cigar flavour. it started ok in fact i didn't crave a ciggy at all it really amazed me as i was very skeptical and overrun with info from these varous sites. all info gratefully received though. After a couple of heavy vaping days i felt the mini 510 wasn't enough it kept losing flavour after 4/5 puffs even tho i kept topping up i found it easier to whip out the wadding from the cartridge ad just put 2/3 drips straight on the atomizer then have about 10 puffs happily. It was a little inconvenient but OK and after searching various sites grabbing relevant answers i decide to opt for the Riva/ego type with cartomizers (cartridge and atomizers as one piece). got the clear type so you can see what juice is left it does help. i also opted for a dual cartomiser and a wadding free type. Not sure if i am allowed to mention supplier on these forums although suffice to say he is on this forum and local to me and bought various pieces to my home to show me of which i was mighty grateful End choice was mine and like i say the Riva/ego style is a good battery life (i am a heavy vaper and the mini510 batteries didn't last me 1hr the Riva battery has been going since 3.00pm the afternoon and still going now 8pm so i am well pleased also make sure you have sufficient cartomizers or cartridges as you will want to fill them with various e juice and it'll save you vaping one till empty and having to refill with new juice you can just change over when the mood suits. happy vaping this thing just gets better shame the government are gonna lose my hard earned cash lol Personally i have had just 10 ciggies since Xmas eve and that's because my batteries needed recharging. sorry for the long post but welcome and enjoy what this forum has to offer. happy new year

100% agrees with Perpy Jigsy (Wendy) as admin, I can see your IP addie (lol, don't worry, it's purely for security issues ) & I'm guessing you aren't a million miles from me? If I'm right, I'm more than happy to meet up with you & let you try out my Riva & cartomisers/atomiser/juice etc As per my profile, I'm just a mile east of The Eden Project
