Hi! I've now gone through about over 100ml of pre made juice. This may sound stupid but now I really want to try and mix my own juices. I haven't had a lot of experience with many juice tastes, so is this a bad idea? Two of the main reasons I want to try it:- Trying something new. The satisfaction of actually mixing something really nice. Cheaper? I want to try some of the £5 liquid flavours etc but dont want to spend £5 on a 10ml bottle lol. Will mixing enable me to do this at a reasonable cost for me? I appreciate that steeping helps to mature the e liquid. If I was to get into mixing my own, could I just pick out some nice fruit flavourings to start with? I heard they don't take long to steep? What I don't want to happen is to wait a week or so and then find out I have done something wrong. I'm also down to my last tank of e liquid too. One thing that worries me is that because I don't have most of the tools needed to even start, I'll have to buy from about 5 online shops or something like that. The initial cost is a bit worrying when taking into account the utensils needed. Is £30 a reasonable budget? Too low? Anyway, I probably sound really stupid and impatient haha but there you go.

opensecret go for it mate, it's really not difficult to make your own juice. There are so many options these days with flavours and recipes a plenty on this forum. All the info you need can be found in the mixology sectio, there's a mix calculator on the forum and lots of mixers on here to help you out. Try some of the Tjuice concentrates. They're one flavour concentrates, very well priced and your pretty much guaranteed success. Once you get a few single flavour mixes under your belt you can explore some multi concentrate flavour juices. Save you loads once you work out your favourites and it's great fun with a sense of achievement

yes, there's no reason you cant mix easily.
I started off by noting down a couple of sites and worked out what bits I needed and how to keep low on postage. There's more choice of late so you shouldn't get hit with loads of separate postal charges. You can get by with 2 or 3 syringes, I bought measuring cups from Boots whilst I was getting my VG
As for flavourings I would recommend picking out a few that are 'one shot mixes' ie T Juice and Chefs Vapors own. They are already mixed concentrates and they suggest what percentage to use. As long as you read up on how to use site calculator you cant go wrong (and you can always ask a member to double check and confirm)

I hope you don't mind but I have a few questions. The goal is to try and make 0mg maybe 40/60 pg/vg. I have only tried 50/50 but loved it and fancy going more vg this time. Do I need to get a vg and pg bottle? Also there is a boots right next to me so I will pop in tomorrow. From what I've seen would I only need vg and maybe pg base, concentrate, syringes, gloves, and bottles to store them in? What about sweetener? I was thinking of doing a red astaire mix first. I appreciate all the help.

Yes best to get a bottle of PG and a bottle of VG, in boots it's called Glycerol and costs £1.29 for 200ml Sweetener is always good to have as you expand but it's. Not required for REd Astaire.

The great thing about T Juice is they recommend 15% and its basically spot on! with red astaire you don't need anything - as with all their flavourings they are ready to add to your base (which would be pg/vg/nicotine)
I bought my pg from ebay 500ml for about £6, VG is cheapest from Boots the Chemist, empty bottles are cheap from Ebay (via China)

If you are mixing 0mg, you will not need nicotine, but will need vg, pg and concentrate. Syringes and bottles to store it in (I cleaned out empty premade juice bottles as well as buying new ones in) You will not need sweetener for red astaire. To make up 10ml of red astaire you would need 2ml red astaire concentrate, 6ml vg and 2ml pg, that will give you your 40pg/60vg. To mix bigger quantities just multiply it up. I would see if you can get concentrates of juices you like to get started and then do some recipes you like the sound of, and buy the concentrates you need for the recipe. Have fun Edited to add, I mixed red astaire at 20%

Thanks all! I think I'm ready to make a list. I know the calculation is obvious here but for the sake of the future, I tried to emulate this recipe in the calculator but get this:- s17.postimg.cc/p4u0jcj33/pic1.jpgHow does only 48% VG result in 60% VG outcome? I think I'm missing something. Also when washing the utensils, is tap water OK or do I need to buy some cleaning agent?

almost all flavourings are in a pg base, so you have to add that in to your calculations, so if your flavour was 20% you would add another 30% of pg and then top up remainder with 50% (as you vape nicotine free) if you wanted a 50/50 mix
Oh?!? how come you don't vape nicotine, have you managed to lower to zero on ready made?

a good rinse will suffice. Also, a handy tip -- cover the measurement marks on syringes with cellotape or clear nail varnish to stop them washing off

I've been living off 80 ml of 6mg nicotine e juice for the past 2 weeks and now want to try nic free. If I ever quit using nicotine I never want to stop vaping. xD

As you want to mix 0mg you don't need gloves. Just a mixed pack of blunt needle syringes and pg from ebay. Vg from Boots try for concentrates www.ukflavours.com/12-5ml-sample-flavours get a couple of sample boxes of flavours with one of your choices being sweetener you could also get your pg from them postage is free for packs of 4 sample flavours. If you really want to stick to one supplier they do syringes to I would suggest 2ml size opensecret they have a good range of flavours for you to start with. Good luck

I'm probably down to about 6mg now? and I would like to be nicotine free within a year, but no pressure... and I'm not sure I would stop vaping? even if I have no nicotine as I'm a fixated sort and I need my hands occupied to keep me out of mischief

I was thinking of getting 2 more conc with red astaire, do I still need to worry about sweeteners? I haven't decided what the other two will be yet but probably fruity. :-P

you probably have a decent idea of what flavours you do like now and the added bonus to working with zero nicotine is 1) its safe and 2) its cheap!
Are there any other T Juice flavours you know you like? may as well save on postage! and use 'givemejuice' to save 10% on your order
