Major eye roll at the ads that say 'You are the 9,999 visitor to this page today and have won.....blah dee blah......load of rubbish'. If anyone's gullible enough to fall for them, then they shouldn't be let loose on a computer! Photobucket tend to show that one a lot and the only reason I notice it is because the bleeping thing flashes on and off in your face, now that is annoying. > You mean i haven't won lol, have to agree fuzzy photobucket is the worse

Not to be weird but you guys know you can use an adblocker extension on firefox and chrome (both browsers) that gets rid of almost all ads right? I don't mean for paying to keep them off the site, I mean for personal browsing. I use adblock plus and didn't even know photobucket still used ads to be honest. Almost all sites I go to just don't show the ads anymore. It doesn't work with the internet explorer browser but it's compatable with firefox and chrome. Not trying to sound condescending or anything

Looks interesting leftfield, but it says it accesses all your data an all websites and your tabs and browsing activities. Don't like the sound of that, especially with websites like online banking and paypal.

Looks interesting leftfield, but it says it accesses all your data an all websites and your tabs and browsing activities. Don't like the sound of that, especially with websites like online banking and paypal. It shouldn't do. Looking at the adblock pro for internet explorer it looked a little dodgy compared to adblock plus for firefox and chrome. I know adblock plus isn't compatable for IE so it's not the same company. If you're using firefox with the adblock plus extension, it uses a list of submitted "blocks" from users and developers blocking ads. It doesn't access personal information per se; it doesn't look for or store things other than what's on the list of things to block. You can disable adblock plus for specific pages as well, like online banking and paypal: For firefox - Press 'alt' > go to 'Tools' at the top of the page > hover over 'adblock plus' You'll see a "disable on (site you're on).com/uk" option that turns it off for the page you're on. It's just a plugin for firefox and chrome that makes a rule with css to block known ads, using only the "subscription" list of known ads to block. That's as I understand it anyway where did you see that it stores personal information?

where did you see that it stores personal information? It was when I clicked on 'Install to Chrome' (to see what would happen) It appeared in a pop up box. I've given it the benefit of the doubt and added it now. If it misbehaves, it can always be removed! Lol. It's worth a go, thanks.

I looked at the prices Chrissie, what an extortionate rip off! I'll log out and see if this ad block is working. If it is, then everyone could install it and it wouldn't have to be paid. BRB.

Excellent. This could save the forum contributors, especially Chrissie xx from wasting money and having more vaping money. Must get priorities right.
