OK, the ads here are nothing like as bad as in some places, but it's still definitely nicer without them. Is the 'meter fund' still healthy Chrissie, or would some contributions be welcome? I'd be happy to chuck a bit in if needed.

This might be a good time to ask while there's the last remnant of the festive spirit hanging around - or people are still just the tiniest bit hung-over and therefore a bit vulnerable, maybe!!

Chrissie, Proboards have the different time zones pretty much sorted. Adverts on the UK forums come flooding in on the dot of midnight here and disappear just as quickly as soon as credits are applied. Any 'mistakes' are generally rectified in doubt-quick order when pointed out on the support forum.

I have really never understood the need to pay to keep adds hidden.

They are not exactly in your face.

Personally I only read what I want and ignore the adds and in fact only noticed them when they were brought to my attention.

Foxy, I'm actually a tad embarrassed - if I'd been thinking straight, I'd have known I could apply the credits to any month I wanted to - doh, sometimes I despair with the way my brain works

Kenny, it's more the content of the adds that can be annoying - especially when they aim them at something you have been searching for (& already bought). And even worse when the so called "Free Trial" ads are displayed >

Major eye roll at the ads that say 'You are the 9,999 visitor to this page today and have won.....blah dee blah......load of rubbish'. If anyone's gullible enough to fall for them, then they shouldn't be let loose on a computer! Photobucket tend to show that one a lot and the only reason I notice it is because the bleeping thing flashes on and off in your face, now that is annoying. >
