VE Jason could you shed any light on wether a UK vendor will be getting the means to update the firmware on the chip?

Yes, we will definitely be getting the programming equipment @tazmania441 and no doubt some others will.

I am rather bemused by Provari's need to include the multi coloured LED lights in the button, because no matter what colour comes up in my button it is always RED.
This is emanating from the blood in my finger tip each time it presses down on the button.

Be careful sending things back to VE mate, He always used to joke that they played office football with all my orders before he sent them and I just happily laughed along- till my P3 turned up that is- It was certified hat trick

So after paying £200 for this thing to update the firmware there is more costs sending it back to a vender, can't just plug it into a PC?

I think its a case of its there if you want it, but if you don't upgrade the device will still work as well as it does now and is still fully warrantied regardless.

Some people may want the tweaks such as your own name on the screen etc and there will be a couple of more high tech options, but not having any of them will still mean that you got exactly the device you paid for - if you know what I mean.

I will be having some fun with Blakeys though if he ever sends it back

I bought mine unaware there would be a future option to upgrade so it's all good. I'll decide whether to upgrade when the enhancements are known.

if it adds the temp control rumoured I'll post mine back in a flash, if it adds more led colours or similar gimmick I won't bother.
