Any tips for cleaning around battery pin?

Hi all, I have noticed that I am getting some juice residue and general gunk around the battery pin on my spinners and istick. I use a cotton bud to clean the tops and threads inside of the battery area but I can't seem to get to the small area at the base of the battery pin.

So I am sure you wonderful people have ingenious ideas for me to try, let's hear them

I use IPA and the offcuts of rayon or cotton wool from making wicks held in tweezers.

These alcohol wipes are just the ticket, and only a penny each

I had some tough gunk on a 510 recently.

I used a precision flathead with a wet handkerchief (soapy water) wrapped around it.

Worked well to get a nice, firm scrub on it

I use a small piece of tissue to wipe excess juice out daily, then once a week use a cotton bud, one end dipped in cheap vodka (or IPA) to clean around the pin and use the dry end of the cotton bud to mop up excess vodka. makes it all sparkly again

alright blud, I stick mine in the washing machine at 40 degrees wrapped in an old sock, works just fine

You put your mods In the washing machine

pipe cleaners are great to have in, for reaching those hard to reach places that a cotton bud is to chunky. look on eBay, think I paid a quid for 25? free postage

I had same problem as the gap down the side of the pin is tiny so just used tissue paper either on the end of a very thin bladed screwdriver or just poke a tiny amount of tissue down with a safety pin run it around the terminal then lift out with the pin it gets right in there and lifts all the dampness and dirt and is something most people have lying around the house anyway..
