I agree with thatguy. Ive seen LF slated for some stuff but I've always had cracking service from them & their response to this issue is exactly what I would expect from a decent vendor

Well thank you to those of you that can see I've not tried to scaremonger ive only passed on the info that has been passed along to me from Liberty flights I've just tried to warn my friends and other ppl who are using this device I don't want this device to possibly cause damage or injury it would just add fuel for those that seek to get an e-cig vaping ban or tighter regulations imposed. I'm very annoyed at those ppl that seem too think that just because "they" have had no fault with there's that all other IPV3's are fine and this is scaremongering and as such it is fine to abuse myself for spreading the info. I've plenty of other devices too use whilst this one is rtn'd "I'm ok jack" is not in my nature unlike some I just want us all to enjoy our vaping experience. *steps down of soap box* mini rant over. Carry on vaping and.... Vape strong.

Well they released their statement. No more mention of the chip overheating just that the battery contacts were "melted" which would be the silicone to prevent dust getting into the chip. Atleast that's what P4Y tell me. I'm going to continue using mine, we'll see what Liberty Flights testing comes up with.

Thank you all for the welcoming I've been talking to a rep from P4u and I'll compile what was said and leave it up to you to make of it what you will give me a bit to do this as I've just woken up and need to take my meds and make myself a warm drink.

From: CSayce Date: 2014-11-07 06:38 To: david@pioneer4you.com Subject: IPV3 recall Hello I'm a bit concerned I've been contact by the reseller who sold me the IPV3 stating there was a recall because of dangerous wiring I've looked around the web and I'm unable at this time to find any more info on this "recall" please would you help clear this up has there been a recall issued should I be concerned about using the device your company designed and sells? Thanking you. CSayce.

From: CSayce Date: 2014-11-08 01:17 To: david@pioneer4you.com Subject: Re: IPV3 recall Ok can you confirm that if I don't return the IPV3 back to my supplier and then the IPV3 should suffer from this suspect fault that pioneer4u will honour the warranty and replace/fix my IPV3 or fully refund my money. Also is there any truth that pioneer4u is soon to release a product based on the IPV3 an upgrade such as the named IPV3 plus?

Again thank you for your reply yes I have a warranty card I have every thing that came in the box can you tell me is there a way to prove that the device I bought is genuine or not as there have been comments made that the devices sold by this particular vendor maybe possible fake?
CSayce
There was no reply to this last message there have been messages left on the pioneer4you Facebook page which they have not replied too even seems as though messages or comments have been deleted?
I have also put together a sort of story board of the IPV3 and its arrival to the market place some fact some speculation I will point out fact and also the speculations clearly this is my own beliefs I leave it up to you to decide and this is very condensed.
First off we know FACT: that P4u missed their predicted release date for the IPV3 to hit the market. FACT: We were given a rough estimate of a couple of weeks until the units would be shipped. Then we were told FACT: it was a holiday and and that there would be another short delay in shipping. Next FACT: we were told that P4u had been let down with the boxes they were supplied with (here's where things get a bit mixed up I read a couple of different stories). 1) the supplier of the boxes could not supply enough boxes. 2) that the boxes supplied did not reach the demands of P4u. I don't know which one if not both are true. Ok FACT: then the release date got put back again for a couple of weeks. Then there was a release that the IPV3 had a fault which had been picked up by a vaper pre-release and had to be investigated. FACT: no information on what this fault was and we were told that there would be another delay. FACT: the IPV3 in the meantime had its release specs updated too 100w then on finally hitting the market 150w with a predicted 200w firmware update to be released too.
Ok well this is the best I can do I've looked around the net for more info better info but a lot of it has disappeared very quickly. Ok now onto my speculation.
As we know there was a great deal of frustration due to the IPV3 and its delay in reaching the market. I do have a belief that there might have been some sort of problem with the boxes but I don't think it has to do with delivery or that the boxes failed to reach the mounting high standards that P4u have. I personally believe it had some thing to do with the touch sensor and the fact that the IPV3 was being left behind because of the delays in shipping that because P4u could not get the touch sensor to work as it should they released the tales about the boxes. To give them more time to get the rest of the box to work. This is why if the box was not meant to have a touch sensor then P4u would not have wasted money and time firstly cutting the hole in the box then filling it with the touch disc that's just money and time out the door. Next we were told that the same USB charging set up would be used as the IPV2 but when we got the IPV3 we find that this is not the case we now need to buy a separate charger (don't get me started on how we should have got the charger for free considering the price paid) to charge the batteries if we choose to do so in the IPV3. Again I believe this is another failing and time wasted by P4u they were not able to get the USB port to work for charging so they threw in a separate charging port just so they could get the devices out of the door and onto the shelves. In the hurry to get the devices out the door I believe that P4u's QC fell down instead of putting their hands up and just saying.
Hay gang were sorry we've tried to be innovative and give you these things but we were unable to get them working 100% so we are going to be take a bit longer to release the device as a bonus the device will come as a 150w unit with possible firmware upgrades to come we are going to get the units to you as quickly as we can but we'll not drop our high standards just stick with us and also as an extra bonus for those that pre-ordered and have remained with us you will get a free charger for doing so.
Thank you.
Which would have been much better than the soup we got well I can't say for 100% there is a fault but I can say 100% I won't be buying from pioneer4you again. My unit will be collected next week I've already been fully reimbursed via PayPal I applaud Liberty Flights for taking the action they have if there is a threat to life, injury or surroundings due to a suspected fault with a vaping device then the product MUST be recalled NOW not latter after the FACT.
DONT GIVE THE HATERS FUEL TO BAN VAPING.
As always what I have said here (inc the questions in the email conversation with the pioneer4you rep) are my own thoughts and speculation along with my own experience when on the pre-order list for the pioneer4you IPV3 order list via RedJuice.com.
I leave it up to you to make of this what you will. The choice as always is yours.
I will say no more on the matter.

Thank you VapingBad it's hard too ware it with pride when there are so many idiots around who gain sexual satisfaction in putting ppl down because of their grasp with the grammar punctuiton or any spelling mistakes that some times I find it just to much to even join in in a thread because I know these ppl are part of the thread and will take great pride in berating my post truth be told I think this is the most I've ever said in a thread where I've not been put down because of my dyslexia. but I'll not go on about that here as this thread has nothing to do with my dyslexia but I do thank you for your support. cheers VapingBad.
