I only do 5-6 night shifts a year, but I'm a mess by the end of them, especially if I've done anything other than spend the day in bed. I had to get up at 8am to get to the previous meet at Beacon Vape, went straight to work after it and didn't get home til gone 8am. After 24 hours awake I was trying to have a conversation with a field of sheep as I waited for a lift home and it felt like perfectly normal behavior. Feck knows what I was actually saying, but one lamb replied to every baaa. Sleep deprivation really brings out the crazy in me Sent from my HTC One_M8 using proboards |

Great pics peeps.
Worst and longest shift I did was 4 days and nights with a hours kip a day .
Was night security 8-8 first aid course started at 9 am other side of town .
Course finished at 5.
Bk to work where I had a room I could use a quick snooze then the 3 s s s and it started again
On the 4 th day I had the exam ( I passed top of the class) got home slept fir nerely 24 hours lol.
Never again!!!!!

The things we did when we were younger....
at the age of 23 I was cabbying at Gatwick, we did 12 hour shifts, took the car to our relief who took you home, did his 12 hours etc etc, well one December I did my 12 hours, went around to my colleague who informed me he was calling in sick so I took the car back to Gatwick to cadge a lift home, the airport was really busy and I was asked if I could do another couple of runs to help out...
I did his full 12 hours which then took me back to my shift and ANOTHER 12 hours, so all told in one shift I did 36 hours driving, and every run was Central London or Heathrow, if I remember rightly it was 9 returns to the City and 7 to Heathrow, and those were the days before the M25 it was up through Hampton Court etc.
Looking back it was ludicrously dangerous, but I got well paid for it and bought myself a decent stereo from the one shift
