Loving the answers. Good to get the historical and the modern. Modern being the most important in my view. You see the term being used all the time, so it's good to know what people are talking about. Many of the FAQ give the historical answer or just say modified. It's good to know what it's modified from, but more important to know that it's more of a description than a modification as such.

If some mods are called mechanical mods, what other mods are there? Non mechanical? And what makes them mechanical? The fact that you press a button?

I must admit it cofused me in the beginning, now I realise that it is just a loose term.
Just think mod, tank ,& dripper describes most of the kit we use, as has been said a mech mod has no electronics, nothing is variable, it's just a battery tube, box mod describes the MVP, Hana etc.

Just so I'm thinking straight. Apart from our hard working mods, (is that short for models?  ), and the old fashioned version  a mechanical mod is one of these:  or one of these:  And everything in between. lol So an electronic mod is something like this  All of which take an atty from yet another million choices. I should have started vaping years ago and then there would have been 2 choices. A crap one and not so crap one. Now I go look on Fastech and my mind is blown apart by the choices. How on earth do you pick one? |
