Ok So tell me if I am being dumb here Does anybody know why I can't use these Vanillin Crystals www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00BHEFCWY Seems so much cheaper than the 10g bags that others sell but usually that means there is a reason not to use them.

No reason but i warn you vanillin is sweet, sweet, sweet! Dissolve in PG and add one drop at a time to mixes. Most places mix it with PG at a ratio of 10% in 6ml then add drops to other mixes.

That's the one I use bud. I put a 1/5 full in a 10 mil bottle filled with pg, shake 7 bell out of it nuke it for 2 seconds shake again etc etc till dissolved. Use sparingly. I use 1-2 mil in 30 mil sweet custard mixes maximum.

Those are the ones I bought rughead121 . . . couldn't link to them the other day. For my tastes, I don't find there's a great deal of sweetness from Vanillin - though it does add a really nice creamy edge to mixes, I use it a lot. 1 or 2% is what I tend to mix at.
