Dog ate the turkey? All clothes pressies were the wrong size or colour? Cooker packed up? Kiddies tantrums? Family rows? Glad, and relieved, to say I've had a great two days... and now, it really is snowing outside.  |

My first day off today, family meal and argggggggggg family, Christmas would be great without them Sorry to hear that spaniel. There was nine of us for Xmas dinner, including my ex and her husband (like brother and sister since divorce, still orders me about) but luckily we all still get on. Both sons, partners, and grandkids. I'm very lucky. ETA: Just don't appreciate it sometimes. |

I'm usually alcohol free on Xmas Day, driving home afterwards, but this time my eldest insisted I stayed over so that I could have a few (which I did, just to be polite ) plus bacon butties this morning before I came home. |

My only c-mas cock up, was waking from a port induced "power nap", to be confronted by the opening credits of yet another pathetic, boring c-mas tv programme (all of which, up to that point, I'd managed to body swerve successfully)......Fortunately, I was laying on the remote, so only had to endure 15 seconds of it, before zapping it into oblivion.........close call.................

I have one or two, lesley my goodly wife, knocked over my glass of red wine, not only knocking it over but knocked it off the table and smashing it, and whilst we were claening up the mess and this was a good 2 mins later the table cloth managed to set on fire from the candle she had also spilled previously, so spilled my wine, smashed my glass, and set fire to the table, i told her her fave song was.....

A story filtering out from tescos where my mum works a women dropped a frozen turkey on her foot, was carted away in an ambulance and is now threatening to sue for millions for ruining christmas lol

Xmas day eve disaster struck in our house. Dishes all piled up to wash and the dishwasher packed up............... Gave her a hug and all was well  Couldn't help that one. But the actual machine did break down. Half way through the cycle I got a AL03 warning and the machine shut down. Cleaned the filter, still didn't work. So had to wash by hand, and today did major surgery to clear a lemon pip from the waste pump. Patient recovering well and back on duty tonight. |
