I have something like this from FT and the blue was a protective film that peels off to reveal pristine perspex. I could be wrong but yours looks the same.

What you need blakey, is a nice tool box to put that lot in. Something like this

That's exactly what it is mate but mine came with a crack in it and the film holds it together nicely
