I was going to order some wick for my GT2 but don't know what to order. My inclination is to go for 2mm only because it's in the middle, but what is the correct size I should be aiming for? I'm also thinking that 1.8 ohm is a good medium resistance, so what kanthal do I need? I was also wanting to re wick some EVOD atomisers. Can they be done with the same wick size? Hope that all sounds sense, as I've never done rebuilding before.

2mm silica is ok for 2mm ID coils but unless you really prefer silica maybe consider trying cotton wool instead. Much cheaper to use CW and much better IMO.
0.25 kanthal is a great all round size, will acheive your target and makes a robust microcoil whilst heating up nice and quick.

For kanthal wire I would get .25mm and .3mm, you can use silica or cotton wool for the wick. For silica 2mm and 2.5 will cover it

You'll struggle to make microcoils of much use with 0.2, although good for a standard wrap coil around maybe silica

Bobsbeer With cotton make the coil first then thread the cotton through Japanese cotton is what flavourtank is referring to its easy to cut as the strands all run the same way so cut as thin as you need it feed it through the coil and away you go (not too tight or too loose) Best thing with silica is to wrap the coil around it edit flavourjam has responded Take him up on it and you wont be disappointed

What would you recommend? as in what? Sicilia or jap cotton pad? I would go with jap pad as its easy to use. And as mentioned before wrap coil..check ohms..... prepare cotton..... thread through coil

just to add .25 or .3 wire is soooooooo much easier to work with (the thicker it is the easier it is to keep in shape when messing with) cotton is streets ahead of silica as far as wick is concerned if your using micro coils and as said cheap as chips(just dont buy asda cotton wool it seems to be scented so gives a hint of parma violates lol)

I was wondering about the wire.
