Glad the 3rd one happened to you @windows as I'm soon to start my Shapeways one. Of course I didn't mean that I guess it's part and parcel of the job that hopefully doesn't happen that often.

You seem sold on the printed enclosures @windows I've yet to handle one, should do shortly though. Does the quality live up to what for some of them is quite a expensive, and what about durability. There's no doubt that the simplicity of the build makes them an attractive an easy way into mod making

Been thinking of ordering a board from there specifically the DNA style 50w one, do their boards fire from sleep instantly or is there a wake up delay and if so how long is it?

There's no doubt that the simplicity of the build makes them an attractive an easy way into mod making I might be an old fart but i think 3d printed is the way to go for mods. I like the fact that its so light even with the battery in. I have some tanks that weigh more than the box its sitting on. I think for out and about vaping people want something they can put in their pocket without it trying to pull your trousers down cos it weighs the same as a brick. I also like the fact that you can incorporate things like board mounting and buttons without having to arse around glueing things in with the hope that it will never come un glued on someone you have sold the box to. Although there are a few exceptions out there i like the fact that the colour is the same from the outside right the way through so no worries about paint wearing off corners etc. There's also the advantage that because most of them are designed to be glueless builds, if you ever want to re use the board etc its a lot easier to get it out without wrecking bits. Yes they maybe expensive compared to say a hammond box but i bet if you were to do a wear and tear comparison between the two i think i know what would come out on top. I will admit it is a lazy way to make a mod because your using someone else's design, but although people do like unique boxes i think if your going to build them just to sell then its best to go with something thats been proved to work ok. I like to leave the experimentation for the squonker box

I like to leave the experimentation for the squonker box I know I treat my Eclipse with kid gloves, it stays at home in the sitting room mostly, no because its fragile or I'm worried it may fall apart, but I spent so much time working out what I wanted from it, then getting a design together and building it that it's just precious. It's good to hear your comment on durability as that's what I want from the one I've got coming. The other things you said echo my feelings also, I wouldn't want anything where you couldn't get the board out to easily to upgrade for example. There's just something about using the Eclipse that's missing from the Stealth Vape mod, and probably the printed one I have coming, but they have distinct advantages especially for someone like yourself building for others.

If i had built something like your Eclipse then i would feel the same. Its something you should be proud of. I would love to try and build something like that but i could never find the time.

@windows surprised you haven't done a ZNA-DNA40 yet for someone, be easy for you and a really nice mod for your customer.
