I have an idea once it gets closer and if it is OK with the mods we could sell or auction unwanted kit with the payment going straight toward the shelter fund and the donor paying for postage and packing, I know I can find some stuff that I can't be bothered to sell. E: not as an alternative to people pledging as enough people would need to pledge to make it possibly, but as a way to supplement that and possibly fund extras or reduce what's needed from those that have pledged. or raffle? |

I'm resurrecting this poll now the dates have been announced. Although VE Jason has offered to contribute some funds for an AAEC private seating area (marquee, tables, chairs, tea/coffee making facilities) I feel we, as attending members, should cough up as much as possible. Any funds leftover will go towards said beverages and stuff (cups, spoons, etc etc) Hopefully I'll have a final price soon. Going on the list of people willing to donate, we have £90 (£10 a head) so far but need a lot more for this to go ahead. Dont forget, the event is free, camping is free so I feel if we want it, its a small ask in the grand scheme of things. The marquee will be for AAEC members to sit, chill, relax, shelter from the downpours, that sort of thing. Won't be huge, but will be cosy and friendly. Will be in the main event area, not the camping area |

Doubt I'll use it (if I go), unless it has tea/coffee facilities, as it was impossible to get any last year & by the time I walked round the gaff & sat through the raffle that never actually ended, it was time to retreat to my luxury hotel bar for a big nosh & copious amounts of guinness..........I'll gladly donate towards it though, to ensure the wimps amongst us are cosy & warm...................
