Crystal , totally up to you, but your original board may have returned by the time a clone ships from China.

Hey guys, My VF turned up from 3FVape yesterday and, after a small battle, I managed to coil my Lemo with a 0.13? build of 30ga NI200. TC seems to be working fine but I had a couple of questions: 1. Is it normal for the "Temperature Protection" message to show on the screen often during a longer draw (a few seconds)? 2. If the screen shows a TC wattage, say 11W when it's set to 15W, and I take my finger off the fire button the 11W stays on the screen rather than reverting to 15W. Is that the case with yours? Cheers - Don.

Try this first imhoPossible reset routine Remove batteries for system reset then put them back in. Leave the 510 screw a little high so you dont have to keep adjusting it. Make sure the atty and mod have not been used for a while so they are at the same temperature. Press the fire button with no atty on ( to get the same start-up for everyone) Put the atty on, firm but not tight(nickel build) Press the fire button. It should ask "new or same coil" Hit the up button for new coil. Set the temperature to 420F or your preference. Pray Cross fingers and everything else Vape away

Hi Don, it can only mean the wicking isnt quite keeping up with demand and the coil is heating up. What do you have the temp set at?
The 11 watts is what it can keep up with without going over temp. I think it reverts to 15W again when you hit the fire button again.

The 11 watts is what it can keep up with without going over temp It's set to 15W robby, not that it matters too much because it will only fire at what it needs to for the set temperature. What you say about wicking is probably true. With a 1.1? kanthal build I would vape around 10-12W normally when direct lung inhaling for multiple seconds. I'm doing a nickel build on an RDA tonight and I'll see how that goes at higher wattages. There's no issue with the TC, it seems to be working fine. I just wondered.

This reset routine seems to have allowed me to operate at a higher wattage without invoking TC, more like I was expecting. I think there may have been some mismatch between the stored resistance of the coil the unit was using to gauge the temperature and what it actually was. It doesn't actually affect anything but can you replicate the wattage display issue I had?

Same for me, TC cuts in and out as necessary. I have mine set to 20w and 420f.....the TC cuts in and shows 12.8 ish but does vary. I am not sure what to do to stop it or even if it is that important. The TC works and I am getting the vape I want. It just seems a "Set and Forget" type system, I am well pleased.
