Hi everyone :-) - Mini I-Stick problem?!

Hi all, new here, well been lurking for ages & made an account then couldn't remember my log in details!



My mini i-stick arrived yesterday from Evkoo, shiny pink and gorgeous! However the GS16s that came with it refuses to work without the 510-ego adapter on the battery? I put it together as quick as it came out of the box, vaped away in glorious clouds for 5mins, put it down, came back to it and nothing, nada.



Switched off and on few times, took it off and put it back on a few times but no luck, the GS16s works fine on my other batteries and if i put the adapter on the i-stick then it works fine but to be honest the whole point of getting the atomizer at the same time was so i didn't have to use the adapter, it looks so gorgeous and neat and small and is a perfect stealth vape :-(



The adapter makes it look a tad ugly and adds a ton of weight to the device if i then add a beauty ring as well.



I understand this is because the pin in the battery has been depressed too far but i only fastened it finger tight, learnt my lesson with my egos tightening them too much :-)



I've emailed Colly a couple of times but i just keep getting the answer that the atomizer and i stick are a match for the adapter?? They can't seem to understand my whole point of a 510 to 510 thread should be working without the adapter.

Have you tried raising the centre pin on your mini iStick TJ?

As you would on an Ego battery . . . .

I use my mini with the GS16S with no problems at all. Worked first time and has been in use for a couple of weeks off and on. I have taken the GS16s off a couple of times and it goes back on with no problems.

My guess is centerpin needs raising as well.

I would add that the depressing of the centre pin can be caused by screwing the tank or adapter into the battery too firmly. This may not be the case here, but this commonly is a weakness of batteries.

I've done it myself, you just need to make a connection that leaves your tank stable. Probably half a turn less then can be achieved with a firm hand.

I didn't fasten either the GS16s or the adapter too tight, if anything I veer on the light side putting any atomiser/clearomisers on now and having read a few mentions of the I-stick possibly having a thread problem i was even more careful with it first time to be honest so I wonder if I just happened to get a slightly duff one, it has a few scratches on the bottom of it as well :-(

Unfortunately my stoopid pc won't let me view you-tube vids so despite clicking on the links I can't see them :-( but i did get the child to bring a similar vid up on her i-pad last night to have a go at raising the pin & you could see it had visibly come up & i twiddled the bottom of the GS as well to raise it but as soon as you put it back on the battery both just sink straight back in *meep*

Oh well guess I'll just have to keep using the adapter with it for now, mind you it's a good reason to purchase another shiny mini right guys?? After all there are so many pretty colors & you can never have enough shinys really.........(hides invoice for full size pink I-stick behind sofa) :-)

Get a look seat for the istick, vape escape do them called bending adaptor.
They look like loo seats lol.
