well there is no more white hot glue in mine i tryed it with my finger in there and it did get warm in the prob aria so im going to keep on using it and that white stuff once ignited burns on its own defo not good i think anyone who has one should try and do the same removing of the white glue spesh round the bottom Is it easy to get in there decoy? How did you get the white glue out? Just seen your post above on how you did it. Just leaver off the cover with a knife or thin bit of metal and carefully pull the white glue off with fine nose pliers or pick off with a probe or small screw driver, it's not very sticky.

I think the flammable white glue is not the problem, it just adds flue to the fire not starts it, but I can't "know" for certain. markm I'm sure ECITA know, they were in the loop on the mech with poor venting. I'm sure ECiTA as a trade body, have an interest, but it's really the role of ECCA to act for consumers and to mediate between the end user, retailer and manufacturer.

I would just fix it but as I only got this for walking the dog and would spend most of it's time in my pocket am not keen.

I've spent some time perusing a US forum today, trying to learn more. Apparently some have had email replies from Cloupor stating that this fault only affects a single batch.
So why no recall on that batch? Where did that batch go? Europe, USA?
Why do I have to go to the USA to hear of any response from Cloupor?
Where have all the failures been? All over or centred on one region? I guess I'd know the answers if I went on FB..... but I won't. Trolls would obviously be on this one like a rash.
Keep removing that hot-melt carp.

I read that on UKV last night, but like the rumour it is clones not Cloupor I dismissed it as "they would say that wouldn't they". Until we read that some suppliers are contacting customers saying theirs may be affected I will take it with a table spoon of salt.

Well my authentic clouper mini from FT was holding my order up so on the strength of this thread ive cancelled it and placed another with the gift certificate. I've placed another order for more stuff I don't really need to the value of the gift certificate plus £20 On a brighter note both ordered have shipped

Hmm one batch only affected I'm sure I've heard that one before oh yeah that's right cloupor responding in the US to their hana clone fiasco despite people all over the globe reporting problems. There will be less reports of minis going pop because a lot of customers have cancelled orders and some retailers have as well. 100,000 may have been made I would say no more then 25% of that has made it into customers hands yet likely substantially less then that. If it is just one single batch then recall its only a small number so shouldn't cost much.

At least they've shifted from the 'do not charge using usb' shenanigans to admitting there were manufacturing defects. It's still too much of a concern to go laying down the wonga for one though, imho.

Iv just had this from them Hi,
After u guys feedback to us, all our engineers, suppliers and the whole R&D team got into deep research of the mini issues. Finally ,we got an answer. There were some IC elements(wrong IC components) mixed into the rights ones. Then It leads to the unexpected problems. Fortunately, the probability is very low(about two over one thousand).
To turn on the mod(with atomizer attached),then press the fire button for 15 seconds. It becomes very hot or displaying "too hot" at once, then pls contact me. Thanks.
Warm regards, Fiona

I thought it was copy and paste bloggers and keyboard worriers after someone pointed out that was in the instructions and as Cloupor hadn't responded they have to have something to type. I found it quite depressing how that rumour spread and hope it did not cause anyone to believe they had nothing to worry about if they didn't charge from a computer.
