So my much anticipated 3 pack of kuro koilers arrived today from FT. After trying 2 dif wire gauges and 2 dif koiler rods my coils are all coming out shite. Overlapping and not like the nice tidy ones on all the YouTube videos!!! I've tried both screw holes and different methods. Anyone having any luck with these?? Or have any advice on wat I'm doin wrong??

Don't put downward pressure on the cap when turning.

As I understand it no pressure on then winding cap, just let it catch the wire and wrap.
PS is shite a technical term?

And have the screw in the hole nearest the centre. What size and wire size were you using xtc263?

What size and wire size were you using xtc263? 4mm wire 3mm rod I found that OK on the Coil Master which is less likely to be good and not good with the small sizes, the other thing to try is starting it off with half a wrap. I'm sure you know these, but for people in general, firmly hold the end of the wire that goes through the hole with your thumb and don't put any pressure between the two halves as it to make the coils tight.

PS is shite a technical term? Yep! I think it can refer to many occasions within Vaping as an experience that many Vapers have!

My coil master arrived today..........and with .28 Kanthal and any size rods, with no pressure on the twisty cap thing, all mine are over lapped and a shite mess too. Must have made 15 attempts now and the only way I can get a coil is by hand wrapping the wire round the rod! Which doesn't make a micro coil. Do these things only work with much thicker wire and if so I've got a lot of questions to ask........very sad person sat here watching the blizzard outside surrounded by lots of little bits of wire. I used to have a life........ Oh and I've put the tiny micro screw in the hole nearest the middle too.....no better. Boy these things are fiddly and I had such high hopes, and I'll be running out of wire too All I want to do is make 1.6-1.8ohm coils for my protanks, without resorting to the blow torch. Any ideas people?

Any ideas people?Only that the gap between the little screw & the rod/shaft (smutty jokes incoming) could do with being smaller then twice the wire thickness which is a design fault, they put the screw holes in the same place for every size, so they are all optimised for 3 mm . The only thing I can think of is some polymorph or v short bit of metal tube around the screw head to reduce the gap.

[This post is about the Coil Master not the Kuro] I had a look and the screws are M2, maybe some wider head allen key socket head screws will work a little better, but you would need a range of sizes to get everything to work.

I'm defo sticking to my knitting needle! Jim So far the only use is that I now have a set of measured coiling rods.........now where's that blowtorch... Might buy some thicker wire and if that doesn't work, well I won't be sending a set to my son and I'll have two sets languishing in the junk vape box....
