Picked mine up from royal mail today. Been trying for hours. Coils loose and over lapping. For me the fix was simple and staring me in the face. Put 1 wrap on by hand. Backed screw out a little so as the gap guides the wire. Put topper on and then bend wire away from winding direction. have wrapped 6 coils with .25 like this. 2 on each size rods. All have come out spotty dog. Looks to me like a tension issue.

Watched the video, gave mine a try on the largest (3mm ) and it worked fine, i applied no pressure other than just turning the cap and the screws backed out a bit more as above.

I have had my set of 3 Kuro Coilers for a few weeks and they make perfect coils every time I have used them.

I now have 3 different types of coiler here including the Kuro and I can honestly say that the all produce perfect coils Just take a little time to understand how they work and they'll be problem free

Had my set of 3 Kuro Coilers for a couple of days now. Verdict:- brilliant.
I started coiling after using NatureVape coils. I have only used 28AWG, .32 Kanthal.
Recoiled just Kanger heads for several months. Then got hooked on Nautilus Minis and ended up recoiling Nautilus & Kanger heads for 7 family & friends. Really enjoyed doing it until a few months ago when arthritis in my left thumb got worse. Ended up only recoiling when I had to.
The Kuro coilers have made coiling into an enjoyable pastime again.
My coils had been getting worse but now it's a perfect coil every time.
I'm now busy ripping my rotten, misshapen coils out and replacing them with gudduns.

Mine (Kuro) arrived a couple of days ago... Not sure why I bought them other than curiosity because I've found a set of precision screw drivers give me perfect coils when used abutting the handle... Suffice to say the Koiller has been less than successful - I'll give it another shot having read the thread (it is possible to use them and not just repeat the overlapping tangles)
Cheers

They are AMAZING. However, let's not fool ourselves here. There is a knack to them, and without it, it's just disasters-ville. I first used them with BOTH pins in. Don't know why, just pulled it out the packet and just started coiling. The way you start the coil is important to. Some videos suggest doing almost a full wrap by hand... that doesn't work either. The less interference the better. Do not push the top section hard, nor hold it off too loose. Like smifee I've been taking apart old Kangers with wonky (but usable coils) and putting in new near-perfect ones.
