Can't beat a good man cave . Especially one I can lock on the inside!!!!! That definitely goes without saying . as it allows you to get up to mischief.

The electrician has just left and I now have lighting, 4 double sockets for tools and a constantly live single socket for my vape-freezer. So no excuses now for getting the Vape Bench and Racks built.

Have you got a wood burner in there lobeydosser? Spesh in this weather. Actually it is not cold at all. North wind blowing today so icy outside in the wind, but in the shed I have a wee 2k fan heater and I only need that on for the first half hour. After that sweat takes over and I don't feel the cold as I have too much fat to get cold.
I have spent the day tidying up the 2 ends of the armoured cable between the house and the shed and making it all neat and hunky dorey.
It is great to be able to just plug my heater and tools straight into the nearest socket without having to lay out extension reels and then have cables all over the floor. No doubt this novelty will wear of in time, but at the moment it is a treat.

Oh the greatness of being single. The whole house is my mancave!!
Okay, maybe Ms Ripshod will have something to say about that, but cos she has her own cave I don't have to listen do I?

I have still not got around to building the Vaping/Mixing part of my shed. Each time I add a bit to the woodworking side, I am finding it easier to do more woodworking and now that I have more room for tools, especially the electric ones, I am gradually hauling them out of the various hidey-holes that they have been stored in for years now, and putting them into the shed where I can use them properly. The shelves that went up today- Leaving me with an almost clear workbench- I will get to the Vaping Bench eventually.

We went with Tiger Sheds but I would not recommend them.
They sent the wrong size of shed (too low) but charged me for the high one.
They fitted the doors (I have one on each gable end) the wrong way round.
I asked for no windows, they fitted 4 windows made up with 1/8th inch thick plastic.
By the time I have bought the wood and the glass to fix the shed to the way I had ordered it, I could have bought a top of the range gold plated one.
My advice is to buy a locally made one. That way you will be able to sort out any problems easier.

Hi Bluefish, I complained alright, about 6 or 8 times over a period of several months in both phone calls and emails. I eventually got a poultry refund that did not even cover the price of the wood I had to use to raise the shed to its proper height, to say nowt of the time and effort to jack the blooming thing up. During the coming summer I will replace their paper thin "roofing felt" with the proper stuff. But, at the end of the day I will have a proper workshop with the space and the tools to keep me as happy as a wee pig in sawdust!

I have just finished my new shed. I bought the wood and built it myself. Its an 8 X 6 and it is mainly used for storage. I will post some pics tomorrow.
