Maybe you're a Vaping Guru @windows Well im def something Greg and one of them is the least patient person in the world with a temper to match, so if i can master nickel i really dont understand why everyone else is having so many probs. I'm sure it will be my build mate, did a 0.3 about 8 wraps open coil and came out about 0.15 and seems rock steady. Set to 380deg and worked fine all day. Then in the evening temp control coming in so upped to 410 and still coming in. When it's working it's fine at 20 watts then all of a sudden it's being restricted to 8 watts ! just tried it again now and it's fine at 380 and 20watts and still at 0.15 ohms. just appears to be so inconsistent.

The only time ive had temp control cut in is either one of three reasons. Not enough airflow, not enough wicking ( i only use rayon with the dna40 ) or a gunked coil. Once ive sorted those issues problem free until the next wick change or i get bored.

I dont think "everyone else" are having problems, @windows unless I have missed something, mine is working good as gold.

Same with mine, yep, the first day was a steep learning curve getting my head around the way it works but after that it`s been A1. That`s what the threads with the techheads and nerds etc with pics and screenshots has all been about, learning how they work and hopefully helping other people. I certainly didn`t understand the device just a day after I received it

First few days was spent getting my head around it and experimenting, now it's no different for me than winding a kanthal coil. Understand what the chip requires and provide it - simple No burnt hits, wicks last longer and it all performs how I set it to perform. People may have problems themselves with this technology but that's no reason to deter others from trying it! Evolv to be fair should really have made all this info available and full instructions and explanations should have been readily available. That is where I believe it all falls down.

Apologies for the childish remark further up this thread, we're all entitled to our opinion.

Only real difference I've noticed with my DNA 40 (clone) is that where I used to have to change my wick every tank of juice, vanilla custard, now I get a few tanks without having to bother.
Negative side is that nickel is a pain to coil and set up on an atty.
wonder what we will be raving about in 6 months, this is a fast changing game/hobby.

I received my Kuro Coiler yesterday and it works great with the ni200 .29mm wire. 7 wraps in a very tight coil then just spread the coil whilst still on the Kuro an gently compressed, when I let go of the compression, the coil sprung open slightly to give nice even spacing. Always looking forward to the next thing to come out My Kanger Subtank Mini and my Lemo Drop are my latest go to tanks and would like to get some more, but I know there will be another "something" along in a few minutes, so I will wait.

From my point of view, this is progress. It`s just part of the progression of ecigarettes. From dry burning cigalikes to the present day there have been many innovations in design and usage. After lots of use and a steep learning curve, this IS pretty faff free. The nature of the devices mean that we are learning how to use the mods. There isnt really anything out there to tell us how to use the protection efficiently. That is what the threads are about. But when it comes down to it, you dont like the threads, you dont read them along with all the other threads you dont want to take part in, what`s the problem? You dont have to buy them, you dont have to take part or read the threads. They really arent much more to buy than many other similar powered devices. It`s just one more setting on an ecig and it IS progress. The threads and hype about them has been from trying to understand them and LEARN. They are not easy things to understand and we are ALL learning, forgive me and others from trying to help with that, that has been my only motivation with what I have written. Just ignore it, what`s the problem But you have a Chinese designed board that's why.....I have just put my lazy atty on my chinaflask (kanger mega with kanger pre made temp coils) it has just read the coil as .18......im ******* amazed, that's is the a ohms I purchased and as stated on the side of the pack. I'm on my second pack, so done about 7 coils and my vapour shark has never read below .2......... go buy a real vaporshite and suffer some burnt hits like the rest of us.....

My DNA's have actually settled (should I have said that) my kayfuns now have 2 o rings to push the postive screw out and my subtanks are and have been running fine from day one...I also wrap the wire round the whole screw now and use a big ass screwdriver to clamp the wire down......Single coil basics and I have reached the vape (for now) I was chasing.....just took my dumbass a few weeks to sort it.... I'll just look at pretty pictures of duel coil twisted stuff.....
