lairey - yes I was aware of that, but one of my main reasons for the upgrade was to save on constant recharging whilst driving (which I do quite a lot of during the week). That, plus the other factors like firing down to .03 and the battery length. dreamylittledream - thanks for the thought, but 2 days is no more than I would get from my iStick at present. The reason above, the 4400mah battery, is the main raison d'etre behind this decision, and the solidity of the mod itself.

Ah well if its all about the battery fair enough Although surely the istick 50w also featuring a 4400 mah battery but in a somewhat small package should be considered Bias alert - I don't like MVPs - too big and clunky and awkward fire buttons

Been reading this thread with interest. Must admit I still cannot decide myself on a new box mod. I'd love something that has a 15 second cutoff instead of 10 second.
I do like the look of the MVP 30w and glad they moved button on it lol.

Whilst the Smok mod is physically a bit shorter (less than 1cm), the MVP just feels solid, no messing, and reassuringly weighty without being heavy. High wattage not a problem for me, and the length between charges is the winner. Whilst I have an iStick, I am always careful with it as it just feels a bit cheap (which it was, of course!), and I want something that I can use without worrying. For that reason I have avoided the iStick 50w.

chykensa, the mvp3 is 3800 mAh. It is 15 second cut off. From fully charged it has so far done 750 puffs and has only just turned orange (3.73v) and that is with the taste testing we did on Friday. Tough decision to make. Too close to call I would say.

M65 fanboi here. Go for it chykensa. Yes it feels light (I wouldn't say cheap), but it will do it's made from Aluminium (one of the better conducting metals). Passthrough vaping too. I recommend a 1amp USB adapter for the lighter socket to benefit from the faster charging. I don't recommend changing the battery regularly (aluminium and screw threads) so get yourself a fresh VTC4 to lock in there. I really love mine, better than anything else I have. One tip, if you're outside in the cold keep it in your trouser pocket or an inside jacket pocket. Same applies for any li-ion powered mod but the M50/M65 detects voltage sag and can bump the watts downward.

Thank you all for your comments and suggestions, but I have made my decision and what's more, spent my money. This very morning I picked up a black MVP3 from zeldamum, and very pleased I am with it too! Whilst I was in the shop, and no more than 3 minutes after I had handed over the dosh, the postman delivered Helen's iStick 50w. I'm now convinced that I made the right decision, as the iStick felt light and rather cheap in comparison, and the threads look no better than the standard iStick. I made a 25 mile drive journey this afternoon, and stuck my Taifun GT on top with some RA - fantastic vape, at 13w!! Despite sucking of teeth and hands thrown up in despair from some of the posters on this thread, I hope my vacillations have been useful to others too, who might be looking for a box mod. Having said all that, I re-felted my shed this afternoon, and popped a Kayfun nano on an 18350 inside my Magneto, and it fitted in my pocket a treat
