Hello,
My mother approached me recently and she asked for me to get her an E-cig.
I currently use the Smok Bec Pro with Fogger 4.1 and when she had a go with it she seemed just fine after a few pufs (at first it was too strong)
What would you recommend to get her? I really dont want to get her an ego style battery with a mini protank. I was thinking of something along the lines of a mechanical mod or a 20W vamo with a Genesis dual coil tank (maybe even another fogger since I be the one to build the coils every few days for her)
What would you recommend for the mod? I have a budget up to £60 for the mod and atty (I have 4 18650 batteries and a charger + a lot of liquid for her to try)
Thank you

An iStick all the way and every day gets my vote . . . I don't see what's wrong with a mini Protank either.
Don't go too advanced for someone starting out, keep it simple - even if she does have you on hand.

i wouldnt recommend a mech mod unless you/she understands the ohm's law regarding battery amps etc
for a beginner maybe a eleaf istick either 20w or 30w its built in battery so have to usb charge, regarding tank possibly aerotank, nautilus mini or standard size,

I normally chuff away on a mini protank first thing in the morning, the cloud chuckers like the Lemo or Subtank are too harsh for me first thing. I'm fine once i've been vaping for half an hour moving on to lung hitters.

I do have a mini protank from my starting days but all the coils got lost so I probably have to order a set. Would that protank be ok with one of those box mods then? I personally wouldnt mind a box mod but I kinda feel sceptical about my mom which would would lean towards something similar to my smok bec pro or a mechanical mod like design.
I mean I can get her the box mod but would be nice to hear about different design. But so far thank you so much for the quick replies and please keep them going

It would . . . if you go for an iStick, I'd suggest the 30w version as it's a better construction, has a more robust 510 connection and it will come with an Ego adapter. Plus it gives your Mum scope to upgrade tank wise once she gets to grips with vaping - the simpler the better to begin with. You always get some of Jonco's coils for a bit more welly . . . . virtualvape.co.uk/shop/atomisers/unicoil/

Id say say you cant beat a good quality ego type kit for the beginner. Nothing worse than a novice whose killed a wick because the W/V have accidentally adjusted in there pocket/bag and it puts them off because it tastes like junk.

I ask because with a mechanical mod you only buy the body and replace the batteries every few months which costs around £7.

The 30w hasn't been out long enough to answer that milomonkey . . . like anything we use, part of it will be down to the user. Personally I'm very careful, don't over tighten anything and generally look after my gear - so stuff lasts me for ages. I get bored with it sooner . . . .
