I'd be tempted to try a nickel build on a different atty Kandesys. A poor 510 connection could show like this too.

The ramp up seems exactly the same for both button pushes Kandesys, that cant be right and that ramp up at only 15 watts is so slow.

All in all, it sucks on nickel and wasting so much battery life while it`s ramping up every vape

That`s what the vaporflask looks like, the red bit is preheat, the green bit is building up to power, and the blue bit is temperature control when it kicks in, see how it is switching in and out as it regulates the temperature (the sawtooth waveform bit). Normally with your atty wicking well and temp set high enough the control wouldn`t come in until your wick started to dry a bit.
It will be interesting to see what the M80 trace looks like.

I'd be tempted to try a nickel build on a different atty Kandesys. A poor 510 connection could show like this too. The adjustable connection of the Taifun has been good on everything so far, but I've just tried an erl clone, with the same results.

&i It IS looking bad isn't it? Seems to be the end of my short lived Smok bromance too I HATE being wronged by a manufacturer.

Just got mine in the mail. I put a .15 ohm 30 gauge Ni200 coil in it. Turned the temp control on and set the temp to 440. Dry fire and the coils glow red hot. Even at 200 they start to glow, after a second of build up. This should not happen on a TC build if I understand correctly.

TC does not work with Kanthal because the chip uses the changing resistance in the nickel wire to calculate the temperature. Kanthal's resistance does not change when it heats up so the temperature can not be measured accurately.
